PURPOSE OF ROLE

• To partner with management population, business leaders and the HR Business Partners to enable the delivery of HR solutions to maximise people performance, strategy and workforce planning to significantly contribute towards strengthening business performance.

• Taking full responsibility and ownership for the development of a strong relationship between HR and the business, acting as a key trusted advisor through the provision of professional and commercially focused advice to line management and teammates alike.

• Determine the challenges that business managers face through regular one to one meetings to establish clear people plans and assist the implementation of the people plan alongside implementation of business and HR strategy.

• Support execution against EMEA HR strategy, working closely with HRBP and the extended HR divisions including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and HR Operations to ensure the effective facilitation and delivery of key HR projects.

• Provide local support on employee relations (ER) activity, co-ordinating investigations and managing the in country ER processes in accordance with local legislation to identify solutions and minimise risk.

• Promote best practice across the business, presenting HR matters in a clear and concise way ensuring managers implement HR policies and practices.

• Case management of long term sickness issues and proactive absence management.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use of HR Analytics to identify areas for improvement and develop interventions for change in areas such as absence, attrition, performance with clear deliverable improvements when evaluated.

• Work with HRBP and Talent Acquisition team to support with workforce planning to improve delivery of resourcing solutions. Effectively influence the appointment of key roles and the reduction of vacancies / time to hire.

• Provide support and segment overview to support with the facilitation of Talent Management, Succession Planning and leadership development at a local level. Work with line managers to identify key talent and devise plans to retain within the business, identify people and performance management gaps, and provide practical solutions by developing action plans for business and individual improvement.

• Act as coach and provide development support to the HR Project Co-ordinator and/or HR Co-ordinator.

• Proactive Self-development by researching HR trends to keep up to date with current and new/proposed employment legislation, making recommendations for change.

• Checking, analyzing, and improving (day-to-day) HR processes.

• Providing advice on employee development and talent management.

• Guiding recruitment and selection procedures.

• Conducting performance and evaluation interviews with employees.

• Supporting managers with HR advice.

• Supporting the drafting of employment and personnel regulations (i.e., sickness, training, wellbeing).

• Updating employment conditions with changes in laws and regulations.

• Supporting the HR operations team and aligning the HR local needs and changes.

• Supporting employees with everyday HR questions.

• Acting as HR contact person for government agencies, insurance broker and advisors, and other (HR) external parties.

• Coordinating ARBO activities, inspection and prevention activities in the office.

• Supporting the implementation of HR strategies together with the HR manager.

 

PROFILE

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.

Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in an advisory capacity.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proactive, solution-oriented, and a true team player.

Thorough knowledge of Belgian labor law and government regulations.

Fluent in Dutch and English.
