Head of PMO


We are currently seeking a PMO Manager to join the team at Insight and to report to all of Europe.

This role will be working from home, and we are looking for someone to be based in the Netherlands with experience in the IT industry or having worked on technical projects.


Purpose of the role:


The EMEA Services Delivery function delivers professional and managed services to Insight’s clients across a broad range of technology and software offerings, delivers a scaled and consistent client experience, and employs methodologies through the following centres of excellence.



  • Lead and drive the team, to promote teammate satisfaction through mentoring, development, and career planning, creating a high performing team with a strong succession benchmark, enabling career progression.
  • In conjunction with the EMEA Senior Manager PMO, deliver PMO’s governance, quality assurance, and resource management strategy and frameworks, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, driving governance and oversight across the project portfolio.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of common programme, project, and portfolio management standards including project information systems, governance, business cases, benefit its led delivery planning, resource planning, risk management, and project reporting.
  • •Monitor and oversee the resource planning of programmes and projects, and work with project teams to have an accurate forecasting on project resources to enhance delivery capability.
  • •Monitor and oversee the progress of programmes and or projects, and work with project teams to understand and track delivery, devise plans, anticipate risks, and ensure effective issue resolution.
  • •Oversee the lifecycle of PMO’s policies, standards, procedures, and controls to proactively support service delivery.
  • •Ensure the successful delivery of critical programs and or projects within the service delivery portfolio through provision of expert project management guidance, support, and assurance. •Manage and oversee the development of all aspects Insight’s PMO’s products and services with primary focus on project delivery, support and assurance, standards, and capabilities.
  • •Identify y, create, and implement new processes, procedures, or methodologies as required by the business to enhance delivery capability.


Essential Skills:

  • Fluent English and ideally Dutch speaking
  • Strong leadership skills leading international teams
  • relevant professional Project Management qualification, accreditation and or certification (such as PRINCE2, PMI)
  • Good knowledge of, and proven practical ability in, business change and or transformation techniques
  • PMO Governance, Quality Assurance and Frameworks experience
  • Background working within the IT industry
  • Experience of leading the development and implementation of an internal communications strategy
  • An excellent understanding of programme and project management best practice standards, tools, and techniques including planning, governance, delivery management, and risk management
  • A strong track record in project delivery gained by leading large, complex projects or multi-disciplinary change programmes
