Insight Public Sector (IPS) is expanding and seeking a dynamic and results-driven Federal Strategic Market Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Account Management, Business Development, and government IT solutions and services sales within the Federal sector.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify and capture incremental federal contract opportunities to support company growth objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in all aspects of capture management for strategic opportunities identified by IPS Management.
  • Identify and capture additional growth opportunities within Strategic Customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales Management to develop targeted plans for tactical sales and strategic marketing activities to enhance account performance in growth potential accounts.
  • Develop customer relationships and expand existing ones.
  • Create win themes, messaging, and communications strategies to optimize win probability.
  • Identify technical solutions, establish partnerships, and contribute to bids and proposals.
  • Implement capture strategies for major program initiatives within Federal agencies.
  • Conduct pilots and proof of concepts in customer environments.
  • Increase IPS visibility through customer engagements, technical sessions, and training activities.
  • Develop unsolicited proposals and BPA offerings.

 

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in capture or proposal management within the federal space.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Strong background in Federal Field Sales, Business Development, and Program Capture Management within the IT solutions and services industry.
  • Experience as a Value-Added Reseller is a plus.
  • Ability to lead matrixed resources across distributed geographies and time zones.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet goals and deadlines effectively.

The base salary range for this position is typically $150,000 to $180,000 with additional bonus and benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.
