Inside Account Manager (Corporate Premium)

Insight’s sales teams are collectively responsible for growing and maintaining business relationships across a range of clients. The sales teammates targets are to achieve growth and develop and maintain strategic client relationships based on trust, in order to earn client loyalty and achieve mutual success through the effective building of close partnerships.


The Inside Account Manager is responsible for developing and growing relationships and accounts across a portfolio of varied clients, and in some instances they work in close partnership with Executive Account Managers or Sales Opportunity Managers to identify, develop and win client opportunities across new and existing client accounts.





  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities with new and existing clients in order to achieve and exceed individual revenue and GP growth targets.
  • Establish and develop strong client relationships which are built upon trust and the utmost level of client satisfaction through great service delivery.
  • Develop account plans across the client base in order to identify opportunities based on client pain points and needs.
  • Manage the end-to-end renewal process for existing accounts in order to ensure client retention by using strategic account management techniques.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell, and up-sell, and wrap services around otherwise transactional opportunities.
  • Produce and close sales quotes in compliance with Insight’s internal guidelines in order to achieve and exceed revenue-based targets.
  • Establish and develop stakeholder relationships with cross functional internal teams to support and manage client’s needs.
  • Acts as a day-to-day resource for client queries and licensing and software purchase questions and respond to or escalate matters as appropriate.
  • Accountable for driving recurring transactional revenue and for optimizing the sales process.
  • Manage detailed and accurate contact information for prospects and clients within the relevant CRM systems.
  • Provide frequent and accurate forecast and pipeline information as and when required.


In addition to the above key duties and responsibilities the Inside Account Manager may be required to:


  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Account Managers or Sales Opportunity Managers to support with the development of a compelling and strategic annual business plan and an accurate systems-based pipeline for the assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Contribute to sales pitches, bids, and tenders under the guidance of the Executive Account Manager or Opportunity Manager.

  • Experience with proven consultative and sales experience in technology (hardware, services, or software) with evidence of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • High level of written and spoken English
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in the use of procurement tools in order to ensure the effective processing of queries and orders
  • Able to quickly build rapport and develop strong professional relationships with clients
  • Ability to articulate in written format responses to clients’ day to day needs and that of bids and tenders
  • Able to understand how technology solutions can address the commercial needs of businesses
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of contracts, terms, and conditions and the ability to negotiate standard and non-standard terms and conditions
  • Understands basic financial and commercial terms such as profit and loss, balance sheet, cost of sale, budget, leasing etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to credibly discuss and understand client business issues and challenges
  • A team player who can work successfully within a diverse team in a mutually supportive way including with technical and sales teammates in multiple/virtual locations





The position is based in the Netherlands, main office location is Apeldoorn. Possibility for hybrid working, remote with occasional visits to the office and client sites.
