As an innovative and hungry Solutions Account Manager you will manage the development of a geographic market to drive sales and delivery of Insight’s Digital Solutions. You'll identify and target specific organizations where Insight can deliver value to the client’s business through differentiated solutions.


Achieving sales in new and existing accounts across Industries focused on MSFT’s Enterprise Commercial clients comes as second nature to you. Your experience in leveraging technology to deliver business outcomes coupled with your market knowledge and network will enable you to create connections that support business growth and assist clients reach their strategic goals.

What type of work will you be doing?


  • Prospecting C-level executives and senior decision makers to identify business challenges which we can help solve
  • Generating new business via targeted account planning, leveraging marketing collateral, events, internal and partner relationships.
  • Positioning our Microsoft Solutions (consulting) capabilities around Digital Innovation that will differentiate Insight Solutions and deliver valuable business outcomes to our clients via consultative selling and with the intent to develop long-term business partnerships.
  • Working in close alignment with Insight’s Parter BDM and also directly with Microsoft Specialists and other select partners (eg GitHub & Databricks) to strategise opportunities and plan co-sell activity.
  • Collaborating with our internal Practice Management/Leaders, Solutions specialists & PMO teams to drive pre-sales activities in Accounts as well as monitoring delivery milestones on projects to ensure engagements are meeting client expectations.
  • Preparing proposals & presentations in conjunction with the Practices as required to demonstrate solution outcomes.
  • Creating and managing a Territory Business Plan that incorporates strategic Account Plans, Pipeline coverage and Partner engagement.
  • Developing and maintaining strategic account plans working with both MSFT/partners and our Technology business to map out account coverage, align on strategic initiatives and initiate Solutions Practice plays.
  • Attending & maintaining relevant training standards including technology certifications for Sales with our Partners such as MSFT. Understanding new and emerging offerings and value they provide to identify and articulate benefits to clients.
  • Working closely with our Managed Services Pre-Sales & delivery Team to position and sell Managed Services into our Solutions clients.



What capabilities you will need to succeed in this role:

  • Extensive experience in a senior IT consultative sales role, focussed on new business development
  • Evidence of prior success in exceeding sales targets with deal sizes of $500K to $5M within large corporate and enterprise accounts
  • Proficient in account planning and understanding of territory management
  • Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence and sales acumen
  • Proven experience building and managing C-level client relationships and providing value added, strategic insight to their business
  • Strong understanding of customer dynamics, business requirements and decision making processes
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders internally and externally and to manage virtual teams
  • Impeccable personal brand and strong professional network
  • High level of motivation and initiative
  • Experience writing proposals and tenders
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of sales processes from prospect to close
  • Able to demonstrate ongoing desire to learn and understand new and emerging technologies
  • Experience selling Microsoft solutions and services
