Lead Field Architect

As a Field Architect, you will drive complex technical solution sales opportunities, from identifying and qualifying opportunities to translating business needs into technical solutions. You'll take a consultative approach to selling, working closely with IT and business decision-makers to understand their requirements, and deliver product and desired services engagements that are fully aligned with their needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own overall technical relationship with assigned opportunities.
  • Drive proposal development with Insight architects and subject matter experts.
  • Identify customer business and technical requirements for all opportunities.
  • Participate in all internal sales meetings as technical representative.
  • Develop Statements of Work (SOW) for all services activity.
  • Own the technical aspect and increase share of wallet in target accounts.
  • Develop high-level designs for presented solutions.
  • Validate strategy for responding to RFPs and coordinate response.
  • Obtain and maintain required vendor certifications.
  • Report regularly to management on time spent and revenue associated with pre-sales activities.
  • Track opportunities being worked on and report revenue and services to regional leadership.

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Strong working knowledge of data center technologies.
  • Expertise with at least one cloud provider.
  • Understanding of Disaster Recovery and/or Business Continuity.
  • Functional understanding of Automation & Orchestration technologies.
  • Ability to address complex business and technical challenges with Insight proposals.
  • Broad experience in cloud and data center operations, infrastructure design, migration, and project management.
  • Ability to grow revenue and margin in accounts over time.
  • Ability to establish and grow relationships with technical decision-makers within accounts.
  • Ability to introduce additional lines of business and services to customer environments.
