Cloud Enablement Specialist

The Channel Enablement Specialist is responsible for managing customers and all activities involved in making sure the customer is successfully adopting and properly operating their use of hosting and cloud solutions. The Channel Enablement Specialist will assist customers with the adoption of Cloud and Hosting programs by partnering with them through onboarding, trainings, use of portals, dashboards, metering tools, monthly reporting requirements, product training, best practice initiatives, and ensure the customer is realizing the full value of their agreement(s). The Customer’s success is the #1 priority. The Channel Enablement Specialist is required to be up to date and knowledgeable on all applicable cloud and hosting programs and complementary options.  The Channel Enablement Specialist role is to work hand-in-hand with the vendor, Insight account executive, and customer. Compensation will be based on a salary/bonus program published separately.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Engages with customers to effectively help clients adopt cloud and hosting solutions.
  • Understands the language and challenges of the cloud and hosting market
  • Ability to discern opportunities to accelerate value to the customers, and engage respective Services resources as applicable.
  • Understands critical processes and are common across many customers & publishers
  • Understands start to finish operational processes, billing, and invoicing for each program.         
  • Identify customer contacts that will be key in driving adoption
  • Ability to show a sense of urgency and dedication to the customer with a high-quality interaction and service, including managing resolution on inquiries that reside with other functional areas.
  • Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment
  • Maintain professional relationships with teammates, vendors, and customers
  • Subject matter expert in assigned program and maintain proficiency across all programs
  • Ability to effectively communicate & present information, respond to questions from customers and triage as required to meet customer needs. 
  • eCommerce expertise including knowledge of vendor portals, from both a vendor and customer view.
  • E-Commerce customer support liaison for in-region & global customers
  • Develop & Contribute to User Guides as required
  • Training & Tools
  • Ongoing support of platform development & testing
  • Platform Demo’s
  • Act as an escalation path for order issues or questions
  • Provide Lifecycle Management actions which include but are not limited to:
    • Explain hosting and cloud programs
    • On-Boarding new clients
    • Add user activations
    • Train clients on vendor and internal portals, dashboards, metering tools, and reporting
    • Actively work with customers to ensure on-time and accurate reporting
    • Partner with operations to ensure seamless customer invoicing
    • Interact with other departments to resolve customer issues
    • Follow up and track customer adoption rates
    • Secure Renewals
    • Place orders
  • Ability to articulate basic to complex licensing advice as well as position Insight’s value proposition.
  • Establish and build credibility with customers as well as the Sales team.
  • Orchestrate, organize, participate in conference calls including screen shares
  • Achieve team critical success metrics as set by Senior Management
  • Adhere to individual and team service level agreements
  • Responsible for monitoring vendor mailboxes and responding to customers, internal departments, and vendors
  • Manage framework and analytics in place to track customers’ use of technology in the most efficient and effective way possible.  Examples are:
    • Assess adoption rate of customers
    • Tracking total volume of logins to an application
    • Track unique users logged in to an app once purchased
    • Monitor customer adoption levels
    • Tracking adoption of standard features
    • Number of Duplicates
    • Number of contracts
    • How many renew

 

TRAINING

  • Attend company and vendor training and webinars as required
  • Develop and maintain expertise on cloud and hosting programs, industry trends,  and competitive information.   
  • The Channel Enablement Specialist will coordinate with teammates and vendor contacts as needed to obtain the required product, technology, and program training that the Channel Enablement Specialist will need to successfully consult with Customers to help them adopt and expand. 
  • Training and certification needs may change at any time due to the ever-changing nature of our industry. Constant education is necessary to keep abreast of the solutions offered by vendors and their direct competitors. This will be accomplished through reading material on manufacturer websites, attending webinars and training sessions, and by participating in meetings with vendor contacts.
  • Certification may be required and may include travel and time spent out of office.  In addition, some training or studying may be required on the employee's own time.

  • Computer software and licensing knowledge is required. 
  • Must have a clear understanding of the back-end process and operations of the cloud and hosting programs which includes client consumption model.
  • Utilizes resources to provide best in class pre and post-sales support of applicable contractual licensing agreements.
  • Excellent customer service/relations skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written, verbal, and telephone skills are required
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from sales associates, sales managers, and customers.
  • Self-confident with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently as well as on a team
  • Self-motivated, and have excellent organization, time management, and critical thinking skills.
  • The willingness and ability to self-learn much of the hosting and cloud program information that will be necessary to serve as a resource for Customers and Sales
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills are a must, t, and works well under pressure 
  • Must be self-driven, motivated, and results-oriented. 
  • Maintain current and comprehensive process procedures, flows, and tools in support of applicable publisher programs.
  • Must be able to promote and demonstrate Company core values. 
  • Able to work with minimum supervision required.  
  • Assertive, persistent, good listener, self-motivated
  • Must understand the strategic objectives and possess the ability to facilitate decisions and undertake actions that balance customer needs with available product solutions and company policies.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience with Volume Licensing, Hosted Licensing Programs, or Cloud Programs.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or university; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
