Manager, Cloud Sales Support & Operations

Position Overview

The Mgr Cloud Sales Support & Operations oversees the sales operations and administration functions of Insight’s cloud partner organization for Microsoft, AWS, and Google in order to increase sales productivity, provide client satisfaction, and grow profits for the assigned territory.  This position manages an onshore and offshore team responsible for supporting Insight’s cloud clients and sales teams (Specialty Business Development Managers and Client Executives) by servicing client accounts and resolving client issues via the phone and/or email.  Duties include managing inbound and/or outbound inside sales operations activity for new or existing clients, including oversight for onboarding clients on to Insight’s Cloud Management Platform, signing cloud order forms, and triaging client issues for cloud billing, the cloud management platform, and cloud technical support. 

What you’ll do at Insight

  • Work closely with sales management to develop, communicate and coordinate cloud sales programs designed to increase sales force motivation and help to drive incremental cloud business for the organization.
  • Identify and create solutions for key operational issues that negatively impact revenue and gross profit. 
  • Work closely with functional business analysts and our cloud management platform team (cloud billing, cloud IT, leadership) to develop and implement solutions to the issues identified.
  • Work closely with sales management to create solutions and implement changes that positively effect productivity with the various sales teams.
  • Work with the various departments within Insight to help with cross-functional sales initiatives and requirements.
  • Assist in the creation and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures as well as interdepartmental policies and procedures.
  • Identify and create a solution to increase sales team productivity and work to ensure direct reports are maximizing revenue and gross profit-producing activities.
  • Provide guidance and training assistance to teammates by understanding individual teammate’s professional goals to help them achieve high levels of success.
  • Drive (indirectly) increased revenue and margin growth through successful execution. 
  • Analyze and report on business metrics including but not limited to: Cloud Solution Provider onboarded clients, CMP issues, billing issues, pricing/program issues, etc. to ensure profitability, trend identification, staffing needs, recommend changes in procedures, and training needs.
  • Be involved with the implementation of client contracts to ensure that commitments are realistic and achievable. 
  • Oversee the proper execution of contracts with Service Level Agreements to ensure they are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain client and partner relationships to increase business longevity and revenues.
  • Ensure that Insight’s client service to both external and internal clients is the best in the industry. 
  • Resolve specific client challenges that arise so that workflow is quickly restored and client relationships are maintained.
  • Develop strong, positive relationships with internal teams and business partners.
  • Attend Company and partner trainings and webinars, as directed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION

Responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of inside cloud enablement specialists and licensing consultants within the business segment, both onshore and offshore.  Implements objectives in accordance with the organization's policies and local applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

What you’ll need to join Insight

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university required; or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience in an Cloud Sales Support organization with a minimum of two years in sales management. 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and leading sales process improvement projects required. 
  • Must have a complete understanding of the sales process, as well as a full comprehension of key motivational approaches to enhance sales rep productivity. 
  • Thorough understanding of Insight’s system and sales processes a plus.
  • Experience in the development and execution of sales/marketing programs and contests a plus.
  • Must have skills in leadership and mentoring new and experienced teammates in USA and remote teams in other countries.  Manila and India a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and adept in process management in order to manage multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously a must. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required. 
  • Ability to analyze information and write reports and/or business correspondence needed. 
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally to identify and solution business issues. 
  • Must have ability to effectively present information to top management. 
  • Proven skill in complex problem solving and change management required. 
  • PC literacy required; includes working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project. 
  • Must have one to many presentation skills.
