About the role

Leadership: The Practice Lead for this role is Karthik Srinivasan. Based in Sydney, Karthik leads the Business Applications team in our Eastern Region and is passionate about fostering team spirit and enabling team members to reach their potential through learning and development. The Business Applications team is focused on providing services and delivering solutions based on Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. 

As a Functional Consultant, Microsoft AI Business Process, you will be a delivery-focused specialist who combines deep functional expertise in Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Copilot Studio with a strong understanding of business process transformation. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, this role leads functional workstreams on engagements, translating business needs into scalable, AI-enhanced solutions using Microsoft technologies.  Along the way, you will get to:

• Work directly with customers to deliver and execute Insight’s current and emerging service offerings, including intelligent automation, low-code/no-code applications, and AI-driven process optimisation.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, AI-enhanced process designs using Microsoft technologies.
• Assist team members in resolving functional design and configuration challenges across D365 modules and Power Platform components.

• Collaborate with clients to resolve complex functional and integration issues, especially those involving AI and automation.

What we’re looking for

• A rising star with minimum 3 years experience in functional consulting roles within a professional services or enterprise delivery environment.
• Proven ability to map client business processes to Microsoft solutions including Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Copilot Studio.
• Strong understanding of business process design, automation, and AI-enhanced workflows.
• Ability to produce high-quality functional documentation, solution designs, and process maps that clearly communicate business value.
• Familiarity with Microsoft’s AI capabilities and how they integrate into business applications and low-code platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor small teams across functional workstreams.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable presenting and communicating functional solutions in workshops, demos, and client meetings.
• Passion for continuous learning and sharing knowledge through collaboration, documentation, and community engagement.
