Purpose of the Role:
As a Microsoft Licensing Product Specialist within our Public Sector Sales Team, you will be the go-to expert for Microsoft licensing, driving growth and success within your product portfolio. You will work closely with internal account managers, technical specialists, and other teams to proactively identify and close service and solution opportunities within the public sector. Your customer-first approach will ensure we consistently meet and exceed our public sector clients' unique needs.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date and relevant product knowledge, accreditations, and professional know-how through continuous learning, including attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and engaging with professional networks.
  • Qualify client requirements to shape and respond effectively to their needs, ensuring solutions are tailored to meet their specific challenges within the public sector.
  • Guide sales and technical team members to support opportunities, including mapping RFI/RFP requirements, constructing business cases, scoping projects, and managing customer pilots and Proof of Concepts.
  • Actively contribute to the sales cycle by participating in client calls, facilitating on-site product demonstrations, conducting value discovery workshops, and leading client immersion experiences.
  • Proactively grow the sales pipeline, generate leads, and penetrate targeted accounts within the public sector to drive new business opportunities and ensure client satisfaction post-implementation.
  • Achieve gross profit and business targets for the product portfolio within your scope of responsibility.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Provide accurate and timely weekly reporting of pipeline, forecast, and activities to ensure transparency and effective decision-making.

 

What You Bring:

  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and the ability to understand and respond to client needs effectively, particularly within the public sector.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Microsoft licensing, including staying current with the latest updates and best practices.
  • Proven experience working with public sector clients, understanding their unique challenges and regulatory requirements.
  • A team player who excels in a collaborative environment and can effectively work with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and is driven to achieve and exceed business targets.
