Marketing Events Specialist
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Events Specialist works to increase Insight brand awareness within the Canadian marketplace through events.
The Events Specialist will work closely with Marketing team to ensure all production aspects of an event are well coordinated and communicated.
This role will require close attention to detail, ability to work under tight timelines and multi-task, exceptional organizational skills, and superb communication and collaboration skills.
In addition, you will be joining a team that supports Sales and Delivery efforts through planning and execution of strategic demand generation initiatives – therefore, previous experience working alongside numerous internal and external stakeholders is preferred.

Essential Functions of the Job:
- Design layout and execute company communications (internal and external).
- Maintain brand standards and ensure integration of all communications.
- Take a part in building, planning, and maintaining the Insight event calendar for all events across Canada.
- Coordinate the signing of contracts for event spaces and services (hotels, catering, logistics, Audio Video services).
- Coordinate, manage and order client promotional materials and prizes along with maintenance and revisions of any supporting materials.
- Coordinate, manage, and maintain branding and production of events equipment and branding tools (booth components, posters, outdoor banners etc.).
- Contribute ideas and handle logistics to assist in implementing special events, workshops, vendor fairs, and training as required, from invitation to the day of the event, and post event digital marketing touch points.
- Measure the impact of events and/or campaigns, manage the budget, and report back on the results with ROI metrics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience:
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant fields such as communications an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in event planning and marketing campaigns in a corporate environment (including corporate events and client facing briefings).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency using various online video conference platforms for hosting webinars.
- Proficient using MS Office, with strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Familiarity with other online event platforms.
- Demonstrates Insight's Core Values at work and offsite.
- Strong ability to multitask using organization and time management skills.
- Strong Communications Skills: the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and teammates.
- Strong team player with the ability to manage different, ongoing project timelines.
