Services Technician
Location: This role is fully onsite in Mississauga, ON.

As a Services Technician with Insight, you will perform installation, modification, repair, testing and/or servicing on systems and communications equipment, including, but not limited to hardware and peripherals; software configuration; voice, video and data cabling systems; and networks. We will count on you to Identify system hardware problems and determine the most efficient and cost effective way of resolving the problem. Along the way, you will Perform necessary hardware and peripheral repair, keeping client downtime to a minimum.

As a Services Technician you will get to:

Troubleshoot and triage the Enterprise or Desktop Systems in conjunction with Operations.

Install operating systems and properly approved and licensed software

Assemble, configure, and troubleshoot computers and peripherals at an advanced level

Work with Citrix, Virtual Desktop, thin clients and provide advanced troubleshooting on Windows operating systems.

What we're looking for

IT related Certificate or Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution

2-5+ years troubleshooting related experience and/or IT customer service experience in an enterprise environment

Strong communication, organizational, customer service and problem-solving skills

MCSE, A+ and MCP designation or other certifications are an asset

ITIL Foundations designation an asset
-
Working knowledge of PowerShell is an asset

Working knowledge of Remedy is an asset

Must possess Current Class 5 Driver’s License

Current Drivers Abstract

Must be a lifelong learner engaged in ongoing upgrading and certification achievements
