Partner Champion--Tripp Lite

For our Canadian Headquarters located in Montreal we are now hiring an exceptional individual in the Partner Champion for Tripp Lite role.

In this position, the successful candidate focuses on the overall management of and achievement of revenue goals for Tripp Lite.

The individual in this role will become an expert in the solutions provided and will design programs to enable the sales team and grow the Tripp Lite product line. This will be achieved through:

  • Proactive efforts in driving Tripp Lite product information to the sales organization.
  • Tracking and assisting in closing of opportunities at the sales rep and team level. You will also be required to recommend optimal solutions for the customer's environment, and possess the ability to present technical solutions that solve the client's business problems.
  • Develop and implement successful programs unique to the Tripp Lite business at Insight Canada. This person will be required to be up to date on all applicable solutions, programs, certifications as well Insight Canada programs that are applicable to Tripp Lite that can assist in closing business

To be more specific, here’s what the role entails: 

  • Act as the single point of contact for all Tripp Lite requests including performing regular touch points with the sales force
  • Assist in sales and technical selling activities to achieve overall revenue goals for Tripp Lite business
  • Create Bill of Materials (BOMs) and engage third party partners for Service Delivery
  • Recommend optimal configurations for the client’s environment in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage/track attach, services and warranties as applicable and required
  • Provide the opportunity pipeline report on a regular basis including: quote tracking, order tracking, close ratio, open opportunities, etc. 
  • Actively promote the use of promotions, trade-in programs and other sales incentive programs to the sales organization.
  • Provide frequent feedback to Product Management and Purchasing to ensure appropriate programs promotions and tools are in place to ensure success at the customer level.
  • Manage escalations to resolve open issues through to closure
  • Client-facing activities - meet with clients or have a phone conversations with them, ask probing questions and listen carefully to understand and capture client's specific needs


Event Coordination:


  • Conduct Tripp Lite related training programs for our Account Executives and clients.
  • Provide assistance with organizing Tripp Lite specific sales programs/incentive programs, Blitz Days, etc.


What we’d like you to have:

  • Willingness and ability to learn technical and product information for Tripp Lite
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, ability to partner well with Insight's sales teams
  • Excellent time management & presentation skills, capable of working independently with minimal direction
  • Technical degree and/or certifications highly preferred
  • Technical aptitude of electrical distribution and control systems is a great plus
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and minimum 4 years work experience in IT industry
