General Accountability

 

The Partner Manager will initiate, develop and maintain productive relationships with IT vendors and internal departments. These relationships will provide a platform to negotiate on behalf of Insight for the best value of products, purchases, and service that will support company’s operations and business objectives. This role requires effective relationship building skills, coordination across organization interdependencies including analysis and oversight of risks and issues, liaison with stakeholders at all levels inside and outside the organization. The right candidate will display strong expertise in vendor management including operations, contract, financial, sales, marketing, performance, relationship and risk management, as well significant experience working or building relationship with IT vendors.

Specific Accountabilities

 

Business Partner Strategy & Planning

  • Develop, execute, manage, and continuously update the business plan for the assigned partners
  • recognizing the unique requirements of our business and the demands of the multiple markets/provinces we serve.
  • Work closely with the vendor channel community and the sales force to create highly demanded solutions for our target markets.
  • Execute across routes to market, segments and product lines
  • Key liaison with Insight US counterpart, TSG and Partner for collaboration/ communication on Planning
  • Measure and present weekly/monthly reporting of sales, margin, supplier reimbursement (SR) and performance of all product marketing campaigns and other product related metrics relative to assigned categories. Including feedback on partners and competitors.

 

Quarterly business governance

 

  • Evaluate business changes and drive programs to compete and grow
  • Advise leadership team
  • Drive QBRs
  • Continuously work with the operations team in identifying systems requirements, categorization needs, process requirements, etc. in support of the overall objectives.

 

Partner Investment

 

  • Promote awareness of the Insight value proposition and marketing offerings to our partners
  • Develop partner specific priorities & gain approvals for MDF investment
  • Manage Partner MDF program 
  • Ensure POP are submitted to ensure payment to Insight
  • Consolidate multiple data sources to provide Commit on supplier reimbursement on a weekly basis
  • Understand SR financial benefits and provide monthly reporting to management
  • Recommends and negotiated promotional pricing, special buys, sales items and event purchases
  • Assists in the resolution of vendor payment discrepancies to resolution.

 

Training & Enablement

 

  • Implement external and internal training on NPIs, refresh training, ongoing development

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a partner business manager/vendor manager/partner champion
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Self-starter, multi-task abilities and the ability to lead in a team environment
  • Experience in B2B e-commerce and/or distribution an asset
  • Sales or marketing experience specifically with Vendor solutions
  • Understanding of Metrics
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Advanced PC skills of Microsoft Office are required (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Bilingual (strong asset)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, work independently and on tight deadlines and perform well under pressure
  • Must be able to work well in teams
  • Management experience a plus

Where:                      Hybrid in Montreal or Toronto (1 day in office, Montreal on Tuesdays and Toronto on Thursdays)

Compensation:       $75000-82000 CAD + Bonus
