Senior Accounting Manager

BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB

As the Senior Manager of Accounting in our Montreal office, you’re responsible for the management, accounting, tracking, forecasting, and reconciliation functions around SPIFs, referrals, investments/reimbursements and price protection.

You’ll also be the one to build and lead a strong team:  interview, hire, train, develop, reward, promote and track the performance of your teammates. 
 

What you’ll do at Insight:
 

  • Support Product Management, Sales, and other departments while maintaining appropriate financial controls and decisions. Meet regularly with Product Management and/or Partners to build relationships and to engage in development and execution of partner funded sales enablement programs.
  • Manage third party contractual agreements.
  • Partner with senior management and other departments to support team and company goals including escalation, communication, and execution.
  • Approve account adjustments and month-end account reconciliations; provide and present detailed information for high dollar adjustments.  Manage all aspects of partner account based on the highest volume of investment to mitigate risk.
  • Team with Projects and Compliance, Internal Audit, and external Audit to meet semi-annual SOX requirements.  Adjust risk and operational controls as necessary based on business need.
  • Accrue, claim and collect partner incentive receivables. 
  • Analyze, generate reports, and present information regarding team functioning, accomplishments, KPIs, and projects. 
  • Develop, design and implement new team procedures, department processes, and relevant company requirements to meet changing environment.

 

What you’ll need to join Insight: 
 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance. 
  • 7+ years of experience, including 4 years of management experience.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP environment.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Office (advanced skills in Access and Excel).  
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business reports, technical procedures, transactions, and determine proper U.S. GAAP accounting entries.
  • Experience executing several projects with changing priorities and handling escalations from internal and external partners.
