For our Canadian Headquarters located in Montreal we are now hiring an exceptional individual in the Technical Partner Specialist for HP Enterprise role. In this position, the successful candidate focuses on the overall management of and achievement of revenue goals for Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

The individual in this role will become an expert in the solutions provided and will design programs to enable the sales team and grow the HPE solution line. This will be achieved through:

  • Proactive efforts in driving HPE information to the sales organization.
  • Tracking and assisting in closing of opportunities at the sales rep and team level. You will also be required to recommend optimal solutions for the customer's environment, and possess the ability to present technical solutions that solve the client's business problems.

Develop and implement successful programs unique to the HPE business at Insight Canada. This person will be required to be up to date on all applicable solutions, programs, certifications as well Insight Canada programs that are applicable to HPE that can assist in closing business

Essential Functions of the Job:


  • Help in the development, implementation and management of highly effective enablement programs designed to increase sales and gross profit;
  • Act as the single point of contact for all HPE requests including performing regular touch points with the sales force;
  • Ensure HPE solutions and offerings are always current and up to date;
  • Build and manage influential relationships within HPE at all levels to insure that Insight Canada is viewed positively and positioned competitively;
  • Manage escalations to resolve open issues through to closure;
  • Continuously develop and exploit solution knowledge, demand, pricing direction, partner recommendations, roadmaps, emerging technologies, funding programs, and the competitive landscape;
  •  Selling activities to achieve overall revenue, work open quote and funnel list with the appropriate sales associate and provide assistance in closing specific business opportunities;
  • Provide updated sales pipeline on regular basis to include: quote tracking, revenue status, top 20 opportunities with status and open opportunities;
  • Actively promote the use of bid desk (special bid), promotions, trade-in programs and other sales incentive programs;
  • Coordinate manufacturer lead opportunities if/when provided by HPE;
  • Manage/Track attach, services and warranties as applicable and required;
  • Assist in identified training programs, i.e. Trainings (existing and new hire), Take 5's, Focus week trainings, Partner Spotlights and others;
  • Help coordinate and assist in training but is usually NOT lead trainer for an event;
  • Work closely with HPE Partner Channel Account Manager and Field sales teams;
  • Maintain expertise/certification on HPE products, programs, competition, and market;
  • Develops and maintains a working relationship with HPE team and ecosystems partners with Insight's key partners/vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, Lenovo, HP, IBM and other Tier 1 manufacturers/industry players);
  • Client-facing activities - meet with clients, ask probing questions and listen carefully to understand and capture client's specific needs;
  • Present Insight's solutions offerings and value proposition to Clients;
  • Deliver / present proposals to Clients and actively work to close the deals.




Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and 4 years related experience and training;
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Bilingual in English and French - required for Quebec candidates only.





  • Strong organizational skills who is accurate, timely, and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and follow-through tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work on more than one project simultaneously;
  • Quick learner with the ability to transfer knowledge through training and documentation;
  • Possesses leadership capabilities with a strong commitment to his/her career;
  • Previous experience selling HPE solutions is a MUST;
  • Experience in a reseller, VAR, vendor, channel, consulting company, and/or other technology based business to business sales company and/or previous IT management or IT support management experience;
  • Must have Partner Sales and Technical certifications or equal work experience in servers, storage, networking, virtualization Networking/Security, Unified Communications, Data Center, Office Productivity, IT Outsourcing BPO, Mobility, Cloud and Virtualization;
