As a Network Services Architect you’ll provide pre-sales consulting, analysis, design for networking solutions including assessments, road mapping, architecture/design/deployment/migration projects, customization and integration with the intent of optimizing the customer’s operational benefit.  In this pre-sales role, you will work closely with the sales team to scope new solutions, bills of materials (BoMs) and associated professional services with statements of work (SoWs)

Additionally, you will work closely with Insight delivery leaders, Insight technical SMEs, technical services and support group, external vendor partners, and customers, to create solutions that drive positive customer outcomes and experiences.

 

What you’ll do at Insight:

  • Establish relationship with customer technical teams and technical leads
  • Communicate technical architectures to customers, focusing on technical benefits and competitive differentiation
  • Assess business opportunity and technical innovations
  • Translate customer technical and business requirements into technical solutions
  • Build relationships with customer technical and management staff
  • Lead or participate effectively in internal matrix working groups centered on sales opportunities, Exchange viewpoints openly and honestly
  • Solve technical and business problems for customer projects
  • Mentor and coach junior team members
  • Produce high-level and detailed technical designs in assigned practice areas that include all necessary solution components
  • Derive complex business and technical challenges and develop Insight proposals that address client needs from an architecture, operations and services perspective; determine strategy in response to RFP
  • Scope develop detailed statements of work for solutions delivery

 

What you’ll need to join Insight:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience of 4 years related experience in lieu of degree
  • 8+ years in technical architecture roles
  • 8+ years demonstrated quality success in technical pre-sales with an Account executive (Sales Partner)
  •  
  •  
  • Advanced Industry or vendor certifications in 2 or more technologies within one practice area
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in the following:
    • Cisco Enterprise Networking/Data Center assessment, planning, design, deployment and support
  • Expert knowledge in two (2) or more of the following areas:
    • Cisco (2900, 3900, ASR, 3750, 4500, 6500, Cat9K,,Nexus 2K, 5K, 7K, 9K DNAC)
    • Cisco enterprise security (NGFW, NGIPS, Firepower)
    • Micro segmentation (Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass)
    • Wireless (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Cradlepoint/LTE, Ubiquity)
  • Knowledge in some of the following areas is desired:
    • Cloud Networking and Security
    • Cisco Tetration
    • Cisco SD-Access
    • Arista
    • Fortinet
    • SD-WAN (Viptela/Cisco, Velo Cloud/VMware, Silverpeak/HPE, Cloudgenics/Palo Alto)
    • HPE Switching
  • Engages in continuous learning to stay abreast on new and emerging technologies. This includes obtaining vendor-related certifications to enhance professional development and corporate standing with vendors/partners.
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Strong abilities to write statements of work (SoWs) for professional services engagements
  • Strong requirements gathering, solutioning, and road-mapping abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of complex technical environments
  • Understanding of and ability to product financial impact analysis (TCO, ROI)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Excellent analytical abilities resulting in problem resolution
  • Strong customer relationship skills. 
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 50% (Post COVID restrictions)
  • Internal locus of control belief system
  • Cisco CCNP, CCIE preferred
