Position Overview

Insight Canada is building the best consulting services practice in the country, and we need our next rockstar presales architect of the future. Could it be you?


We're currently seeking a passionate Azure Solutions Architect (SA) to join our Public Cloud presales team to help drive Insight offerings and opportunities with our customers. This includes influencing the sale, deployment, and adoption of Insight Cloud services & solutions, including cloud strategy, enablement, migration, innovation, and management; and enabling the sales teams to identify, qualify and pursue opportunities within both professional and managed services.


The SA is a technical, customer-facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end customer Insight Services experience. Working in conjunction with sellers, as well as Insight delivery consultants and analysts, SAs own the Insight customer engagement including discovery and scoping sessions, strategy and architecture, solution design, quoting and SOW/proposal creation. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles and success leading technical architecture and service delivery discussions with senior customer executives to drive the deployment and adoption of Insight Solutions and Services.


Some specific duties of the role would include:

  • Partnering with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose technical solutions that align with their needs and business goals.
  • Leading technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops and architectural design discussions.
  • Responding to technical components of RFPs and RFIs.
  • Supporting client cloud adoption strategies, driving the deployment of workloads to Azure by providing architecture and deployment guidance, consulting services solutioning, recommendations, and Statements of Work.
  • Establishing deep relationships with key IT and business decision makers who drive technology strategy and technical adoption within client organizations.
  • Assisting in the creation of standard sales materials, such as presentation slides, statements of work, case studies and offering descriptions to support the sales team.
  • Supporting post-sales efforts by ensuring smooth transition and customer satisfaction.Actively contributing to a healthy team culture and share what you learn with the community.

Who we’re searching for:

  • We’re looking for candidates with a gregarious personality, comfortable speaking with both business and technical stakeholders, an ability to learn on the fly, top-notch time management skills, and a passion for finding the right technical solutions for client business challenges.
  • You’re a great communicator, both written and verbal, and can convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical people alike.

Any or all of the following skills would be super useful:

  • You have experience in Data Center transformation to Azure, including cloud migration methodologies and processes.
  • You have a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging technology trends
  • You have experience leading the design and implementation of enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions
  • You are strong in your ability to provide subject matter expertise to support sales and delivery activities in many of the following:
  • Cloud Adoption Framework (strategy, operations, landing zones, migration/modernization to IaaS and PaaS).
  • DevOps, Infrastructure-as-code, and Platform Engineering.
  • FinOps and Cost Management.
  • Cloud security.
  • Application solution architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Expertise with modern cloud data platforms and analytics would be a plus.
  • Ability to communicate in both English and French, written and verbal, would be a big plus.
