Insight is experiencing tremendous growth and has identified the need for a Resource Manager dedicated to the professional services arm of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) practice within the organization. This role is essential as the number of employees and volume of projects continue to grow. Because of the rapid growth of this practice and the breadth of professional services we offer, we experience challenges unique to our organization. By joining our team you will be instrumental in determining how we implement resource management and capacity planning within our company.
The primary responsibilities of the Resource Manager are to manage resourcing assignments for all incoming opportunities and active projects within the practice, and to ensure we have the resource capacity to execute them. You will be responsible for tracking and communicating resourcing availability assiduously and help solidify resource and start date commitments. When unforeseen circumstances require it, you will manage resource changes as quickly as possible to avoid costly delivery disruptions. Your oversight of these matters is a key component to ensuring an orderly, well-functioning consulting practice.
Primary Duties include:
- Working with Professional Services Practice Leaders and Project Managers to allocate resources based on the requirements for each account and project
- Adjusting allocations based on rapidly changing sales forecasts, team capabilities, and project requirements
- Ensuring our team has the capacity to support opportunities and projects, identifying resource needs and or excess
- Developing best-in-class resource capacity management and forecasting processes
- Collaborating with our Operations team to establish robust technology and tools around these processes
- Working with Sales to understand sales pipeline (pipeline velocity, close rate, etc.) and opportunity priorities to build, maintain, and communicate resource forecasts
- Assist with managing and increasing utilization and productivity on the Professional Services team
- Work with department leads to maintain resource skills matrices to leverage in resource planning
- Develop robust reporting and KPI dashboards to facilitate resource management, capacity planning, and forecasting
- Provide recommendations to improve resource allocation efficiencies such as: cross-training, cross-department resource sharing, outsourcing, etc.
- Run or participate in weekly meetings around: resource management, facilitating resourcing issues / conflict resolution; project portfolio, understanding project risks around resourcing; sales calls, identifying opportunity/project resourcing needs

Job Requirements
Required Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required Required Qualifications:
- 5-10 years resource management or project management experience in the IT services industry
- Proficiency in Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.
- Assertive conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
- Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form
- Ability to be diplomatic or firm when necessary in order to drive business forward or obtain results
- Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups Useful Qualifications:
- NetSuite experience is a plus!
