The Marketing team serves as the face of Insight, promoting and supporting the company’s business strategy through a coordinated communications approach. Marketing teammates develop critical connections with both clients and vendor partners, with a view to creating long-lasting relationships.  The Marketing team also plays a key role in defining compelling value propositions, as well as executing promotional activity, in order to generate brand awareness and drive demand for Insight’s solutions and services.

 

The Partner Marketing team develop and drive connections with vendor partners, with a view to creating long-lasting relationships and collaborative partnerships. Teammates maintains strategic relationships with external partners, sales, and internal marketing teams in order to develop multi-channel partner marketing campaigns that support business strategy and lead generation. In addition, they contribute to increased brand awareness, customer acquisition, the generation of new revenue streams, and drive strategic growth for Insight’s solutions and services. 

 

The Strategic Alliances team develops and nurtures strategic and mutually beneficial relationships with partners, resellers, distributors, systems integrators, and/or independent software vendors and their ecosystem partners, to drive additional revenue with joint sales efforts.

 

The Partner Business Manager may reside within the Partner Marketing team or the Strategic Alliances Partner Business team. 

 

The Partner Business Manager is responsible for increasing partner sales and profitability by executing on business plans, market dynamics, accreditation program engagement, incentives, and improving our partner relationships at all levels. They are also responsible for relationship building, fulfilment, execution, and overall management of Insight’s assigned vendor partnerships, and drive revenue and profitability through collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams to retain, renew, and grow partnerships. In addition, the Partner Business Managers serve as an industry specialist within their respective portfolio of assigned partners. 

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing strategic business relationships across assigned partner portfolio and building relationships that support profitable business growth and ensure that Insight is viewed as the ‘partner of choice’. 
  • Agree joint annual business plans to drive growth and partner profitability by collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery against the plan. 
  • Drive the monthly and quarterly partner performance assessment and lead necessary corrective actions or get-well plans. 
  • Conduct quarterly partner business reviews (QBRs) and trend analysis to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Obtain a detailed and current understanding of the partner organisation and key contacts.
  • Maximise partner profitability through a full and thorough understanding of all partner commercial programs and compensation plans.
  • Ensure Insight gains and maintains partner accreditations and certifications that differentiate Insight as a solution provider.
  • Responsible for negotiating targets and managing partner rebate performance for assigned partners to include the implementation of bridge plans when not tracking to target.
  • Explore and understand each partner’s business and industry, their goals, and objectives for the partnership with Insight and develop compelling integrated initiatives to maximise the partnership value.
  • Engage with sales and solutions leads to secure buy-in and support for partner growth plans. 
  • May be required to collaborate with Partner Marketing Managers and or the wider Insight
  • Marketing team to ensure marketing plans are aligned to partner business plan growth goals. 
  • Ensure relevant teammates and leadership teams are informed, involved, and updated on partner activities.
  • Attend relevant partner events and conduct regular research to keep up to date with new solutions/technologies and current market trends.
  • Secure the data provision for assigned partners, in conjunction with the Business Intelligence team, to include business performance data, share of business, pipeline and account mapping for sales floor engagement as and when required.  
  • Provide partner executive briefings for the senior leadership team.

Key skills and experience required:

  • High level of written and spoken English -Mature, credible, and comfortable dealing/operating at a senior level
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and intermediate level PowerPoint -Demonstrates a keen interest to learn new technologies, with understanding of IT products favourable
  • Demonstrates extensive partner management experience  -Proven ability to negotiate, influence and generate confidence, trust, and respect
  • Specialist knowledge of leading, managing and implementing business plans, engagement activities and promotions -Ability to interpret organisational strategy and ensure work plans respond to and support these objectives
  • Thrives on working in a demanding, dynamic, and lean organisation, ability to work under pressure and to conflicting demands -Commercially driven thinker who thrives in context of ambiguity and cuts through to focus on long term effective outcomes
  • Ability to coordinate and support commercial negotiations with multiple third parties -Excellent time management skills and ability to work unsupervised, to tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can evidence a proven track record in building relationships
  • with key stakeholders -Experience of developing and implementing monitoring systems to demonstrate value and impact
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of partner strategy and solutions offerings 
  • Demonstrates passion for technology around innovation, ability to lead technology discussions without having to be the knowledge expert
