Partner Marketing Sr. Specialist - Software

As a Sr. Marketing Specialist for the Software category at Insight, you will be responsible for partnering with the category product management team to execute sales enablement and demand generation strategies to support sales pipeline growth and revenue while aligning to Insight’s strategic go-to-market growth goals for the Software category business. You will act as the main point of contact for the communication and implementation of marketing campaign tactics that accelerate revenue and margin performance for this focus area.

 

Additionally, you will develop marketing aligned activities to nurture and grow Insight’s relationships and investments with key Software manufacturers. You will work with a cross-functional team to effectively problem solve and provide compelling solutions that align with Insight's sales and marketing goals.

 

As a Partner Marketing Specialist, you will:
 

  • Immerse yourself in our Software category business at Insight from day one, understanding Insight’s goals for the business and the strategic direction of our partnerships with key Software manufacturers
  • Develop, pitch, and maintain ongoing Software campaigns and programs, while regularly reporting on results
  • Become a subject matter expert on Software category trends and risks along with Insight’s pricing and inventory strategy for this category
  • Drive effective execution of the marketing strategy while meeting key timelines and KPIs
  • Provide early and ongoing feedback/reporting to make necessary decisions and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Measure success of marketing campaigns and provide recommendations for optimization
  • Work with cross-functional marketing team to orchestrate the creation of emails, flyers, ads, webcasts, web pages, and other marketing materials to support campaign initiatives
  • Partner with Product Management team to ensure campaign strategy is aligned to overall business goals
  • Gather proof of performance (POP) post-campaign

Education

  • BS/BA in Business, Marketing or other related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in marketing or product management
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

 

Marketing planning and execution

  • Demonstratable knowledge of digital marketing channels, tactics, and best practices
  • Demonstratable experience creating marketing programs and campaigns
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines at once

Industry knowledge and business acumen

  • Understanding of B2B marketing and sales approaches
  • Understanding of how to effectively market hardware solutions
  • Elementary understanding of trends, risks and dependencies of Software sales
  • Ability to perform market research, analyze and turn data into actionable insights

Results oriented/Decision-making

  • Create and meet deadlines while managing time efficiently and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cross functionally with teams to achieve deliverables.
  • Ability to pivot plans when needed to meet desired goals.
  • Experience using analytics and metrics to help guide team and drive towards quarter over quarter improvements in the performance of demand generation efforts.
  • Self-starter with exceptional aptitude for understanding complex technical concepts, ability to follow through and lead others.

Preferred experience

 

  • MBA or graduate level degree in relevant field preferred
  • Software technology experience preferred
  • Business-to-business marketing experience preferred
  • Data Analytics experience preferred
  • Experience marketing for hardware vendors is preferred
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations is a plus.
  • Experience and knowledge of marketing and project management software such as Workfront, Marketo, Adobe Analytics, Power BI, etc. preferred
  • Content strategy experience preferred
