About the role

The Senior Accountant is a dynamic and detail-oriented role that requires a strong accounting background and an understanding of general ledger accounting in a large company environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for internal financial reporting and analysis, focusing on revenue recognition and cost of goods sold. This position reports to the Manager of Accounting and requires the ability to manage large volumes of ERP data, perform advanced functions in MS Excel, and communicate effectively in a team-oriented environment. Along the way, you will get to:

• Actively contribute to the end-to-end accounting function, including the month-end and quarter end close processes with review and approval of account adjusting entries and monthly reconciliations, and related reporting and disclosures.
• Drive the month-end close and consolidation process through collaboration with functional business departments Analyze and describe fluctuations in balance sheet accounts, revenue, and cost of goods sold.
• Identify and implement continuous process improvement efforts within the accounting function. 
• Perform various ad-hoc analyses and special projects as assigned.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 

• 3 years of experience in Accounting & Finance functions.  
• Bakcground in  Netsuite is preferred. 

• Strong accounting and analytical skills. 

• Attention to detail. 

• Strong knowledge of GAAP. 

• Ability to identify balance sheet errors and improper or misclassified revenue or cogs activity.  

• Ability to document and support the purpose of journal entries and reconciliations. 

• Experience manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data.  

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with various organizational levels. 

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed. 

• Effectively work in a team-environment.
