About the role

 

As a Dedicated Exchange Administrator Support Engineer, you'll be the primary technical resource embedded with a single Insight client, providing specialized support for their Microsoft Exchange Online/On-Prem environment and its integration within their Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Your unique value will come from deeply understanding their specific needs, proactively solving problems, and acting as their trusted advisor for all things Exchange Online. You'll contribute directly to their operational efficiency and strategic initiatives by administering and optimizing the customer’s Exchange Online/On-Prem environment. Along the way, you will get to:

  • Serving as the client's primary technical point of contact for all Exchange Online/On-Prem issues, proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex problems specific to their environment. 
  • Advocating for the client, owning incident resolution, and effectively collaborating with product group/engineering teams for advanced or persistent issues. 
  • Providing tailored technical assistance, knowledge sharing, and strategic guidance directly to the client's IT staff and end-users, focusing on Exchange Online best practices, mail flow, and optimization. 
  • Developing a deep, comprehensive understanding of the client's specific Exchange Online architecture, hybrid configurations, mail routing, and operational requirements to ensure seamless integration and performance.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including technical writing for client-specific documentation. You should be adept at building rapport and problem-solving directly with a single client's team. 
  • Considerable hands-on experience supporting Exchange Online, including mail flow, Outlook client connectivity, and related Microsoft 365 communication services. This includes extensive experience with Exchange Hybrid deployments, mail routing, and Public Folder management. 
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments at an enterprise scale, with a strong emphasis on Exchange Online, ideally in a dedicated or highly client-focused role. 
  • Over 5 years of customer-facing product/technical support experience, emphasizing direct client engagement and relationship building.
