Analyst I – Partner Finance Operations (Partner Income) 

Position Overview 

This position focuses on the operational execution and financial recognition of partner programs. The Analyst I supports the calculation, claiming, and internal reporting of payments and credits earned from partners, including rebates, special bids, volume incentive programs, and shared marketing expense agreements. 

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established processes and controls. The Analyst I works under guidance while developing a foundational understanding of partner programs, audit requirements, and cross‑functional finance operations. 

What You’ll Do at Insight 

  • Support the calculation, claiming, and internal reporting of partner income programs, including partner fees, rebates, MDF, special bids, and incentive agreements.  

  • Review partner funding documentation (POF, POP, invoices) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established requirements. 

  • Prepare and pre‑audit financial documentation to ensure adherence to GAAP standards and SOX control requirements, escalating exceptions as appropriate. 

  • Execute defined month‑end and quarter‑end close activities in accordance with published timelines and procedures. 

  • Collaborate with Partner Income Receivable to support invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of partner receivables, following approved SLAs. 

  • Respond to internal partner program inquiries and support resolution of basic discrepancies under supervision. 

  • Maintain accurate records and audit‑ready documentation within approved systems and tools. 

  • Partner with Product Management and Partner Marketing teams to operationally execute approved partner programs and marketing activities. 

  • Adhere strictly to documented processes, controls, and deadlines while building subject matter expertise. 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

  • 1–2 years of experience in finance operations, accounting, audit support, or shared services. 

  • Foundational understanding of accounting principles; exposure to GAAP and audit concepts preferred. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures. 

  • Ability to meet recurring deadlines in a fast‑paced, close‑driven environment. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools. 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 

Preferred Skills & Attributes 

  • Prior experience supporting rebates, partner programs, or marketing funds. 

  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP) or financial tracking tools. 

  • Strong organizational skills with a process‑driven mindset. 

  • Willingness to learn complex partner programs and financial processes. 

  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across time zones. 

  • Proven ability to follow documentation standards and audit requirements.
