As a Project Controller, you are responsible for working within all stages of a project lifecycle for services delivered within APAC. This role is to work closely with Project Managers, Account Directors and Practice Leads to ensure that all budgeting, scheduling and coordination processes run smoothly. You’ll be responsible to monitor the progress of a project to ensure that it is working within the confines of set deadlines and budget limitations and generate progress reports to managers. You may also make suggestions for improvements to project operations as needed. Along the way you'll get to:
What you'll do at Insight
- Review Project Proposals to ensure an expected quality is maintained and governance processes are followed.
- Initial setup of the Projects in relevant management tools (Polaris/SharePoint etc.)
- Continually monitor and evaluate each step of a project to ensure that it is meeting budgetary and deadline goals.
- Coordination with partners and 3rd party vendors to obtain project status updates
- Report to Project Managers/Practice Leads/Account Managers to discuss the progress of each project and talk about staffing needs, schedule changes and more.
- Ensure project milestones are invoiced once deliverables are completed.
- Keep resource schedule up to date based on project resource requirements
- Approve resource timesheets and ensure project budget are not exceeded
- Creating and maintaining reports addressing all aspects of project development and completion.
- Present the details of these reports during group or one-on-one meetings with senior managers.
- Recognize which areas of project coordination activities need to be re-addressed in order to maintain efficiency and cost control.
- Present their ideas to the PMO Director and assume the responsibility of implementing and managing these changes in the project management cycle.

What you'll need to join Insight
- Bachelors Degree
- With 2-3 years of relevant work experience in project coordination/control
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience utilizing project management software and accounting software to assist in setting and monitoring costs of a project is preferred.
- Display strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and written/oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with a diverse work group of vendors, executive managers, subcontractors, consultants and other professionals.
- Ability to write reports and/or business correspondence and to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, or teammates.
