Job title: Payroll Specialist – Part time – 3 days.

The Finance function is responsible for all aspects of Insight's financial management including the acquisition and utilisation of all funds necessary for the organisation to operate efficiently, and the controlling and planning of financial resources.

 

The Payroll Specialist administers and supports all payroll activities throughout EMEA by ensuring each stage of the payroll process is properly adhered to, payments are accurately processed, and the appropriate information is cascaded to relevant parties (including the Human Resources team, retirement scheme providers, and governing bodies).

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for aiding the completion of the monthly payrolls throughout EMEA and ensuring pertinent data is efficiently captured.
  • Timely and accurately prepare and input data into the payroll systems.
  • Administer and calculate teammates payments and deductions, shift variations, overtime, oncall payments, maternity and paternity calculations, expense claims, and other adjustments with appropriate authorisation.
  • Carry out all statutory and regulatory monthly and annual/end of year (EOY) returns and ensure they are communicated to relevant parties accordingly.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure that payroll processes and systems are working efficiently and help to mitigate potential risks by foreseeing and identifying any potential issues and reporting them to the Payroll Manager and or relevant teammates accordingly.
  • Offer advice and guidance to teammates on payroll matters, occupational related schemes, and payroll policies and procedures.
  • Update, operate, and maintain payroll software, databases, and payroll procedures.
  • Produce and provide detailed management reports, support payroll related projects, identify improvements to systems, and play an active role in implementing agreed changes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant audits, regulations, and legislation by determining the impact of any changes and taking required action where necessary.
  • Provide ad-hoc support and liaise with appropriate third parties in order to resolve any payroll related queries.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Working towards a recognised qualification, accreditation, or certification  -Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience
  • Must have experience working in EMEA based role.
  • High level of written and spoken English -Personable, responsible, and self-motivated
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) -Good working knowledge of using computerised payroll systems
  • Highly developed numeracy skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to resolve complex issues 
  • Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information -Demonstrates a tactful and diplomatic approach to situations involving multiple variable outcomes
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills – ability to liaise with teammates at all level
  • Ability to develop friendly, positive, and supportive relationships with external and internal clients, and to provide them with excellent service
  • Able to assume responsibility for assignments and to perform them in accordance with minimal supervision -Proven ability to communicate effectively with managers and senior members across the organisation, and external stakeholders
