About the role
Leadership: The Manager for this role is Chris Scolt. Chris is based in Adelaide and is our Practice Leader.
As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for responsible for assessing and designing complex solutions to meet our client’s technology and business needs. The Senior Architect is a subject matter expert for strategic client opportunities and provides leadership, functional and technical support to their teammates. Acts as a Team Lead on large engagements.

- Assists with developing new solution offerings, including training plans and sales enablement.
- Contributes to presales opportunities, both ROMs, RFI/Qs and Statements of Work illustrating an ability to communicate complex problems and solutions in simple terms.
- Provides Project quality assurance, functional, and technical oversight.
- Researches and evaluates client systems and architecture; draws conclusions; and develops recommendations in accordance with engagement objectives.
- Leads and manages the creation and execution of project budget and scope.
- Discusses project scope and budget with the customer and directs project scope to be able to be implemented on time and budget without sacrificing quality.
- Acts as a team lead on large engagements taking ownership of the project outcome and quality.
- Identifies and resolves project issues with clients.
- Works with internal personnel to define service opportunities, and develop standards of delivery, templates, and standard work products to meet internal and external delivery expectations.
- Leads identification of business and technical requirements.
- Leads the implementation of technologies and solutions based on design.
- Plans own and teams work to meet given objectives and processes.
- Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to problem solving and mentors team members to follow this/her approach
- Assists with the coaching and mentoring of teammates.
- Helps to develop technology solutions while ensuring a personal specialization in one or more IT technologies.

What we’re looking for
Essential Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience architecting, designing, and implementing advanced technical solutions.
- Previous consulting/professional services experience is required
- Strong ability to cultivate relationships with partners, suppliers in order to develop and share understanding of technology roadmaps both within Insight and with Insight’s client community required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate both technical and abstract concepts in a
- clear and concise manner a must.
- Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills combined with sound judgement.
- Proven ability to develop technical requirements based on business imperatives.
- Ability to write quality high level and detailed architectural diagrams, strategic roadmaps and technical documentation that communicate customer vision
- Understanding of project budgets, financials, and commercials
- Ability to manage and mentor other team members
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively required.
- Must be able to multi-task effectively.
- Ability to interface effectively with client executives in a professional and business-like manner is a must.
- Work with our customers to understand functional and business requirements and make appropriate technology recommendation
- Deliver strategic consultancy services including enterprise maturity assessments, roadmaps and technology platform evaluations.
- Develop and maintain effective customer and user relationships, including representing Insight at conferences, User Groups and other marketing/PR activities as appropriate.
Technical skills:
- An expert level understanding of Microsoft 365 services and features.
- An expert level understanding of SharePoint software development lifecycle concepts.
- Working knowledge with hands on experience with records management, information lifecycle and governance in Microsoft 365.
- Working knowledge and hands on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Platform and Copilot Studio
- Best practice and implementation with Application Lifecycle Management
- Exposure to industry and IT methodologies & frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL and agile - desirable
Certifications:
- A degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Minimum 2 relevant MS Certifications
