About the role
Leadership: The Manager for this role is Sandra Tuohy. Sandra is based in Perth and is our Services Director for the West Coast region of Australia.
As a Strategic Account Manager you will be:
- Owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
- Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Partnering with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Understanding category-specific landscapes and trends
- Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
- Responsible for sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes.
- Proactively monitoring and striving to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency organization’s planning efforts.
- Coordinating planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the firm
- Planning budgets and activities for account management in the company
- Setting up goals and objectives for all subordinate staff
- Providing feedback and counsel to account staff to meet quotas/objectives
- Conducting performance evaluation using key metrics
- Serving as the point of contact for customers in your portfolio
- Understanding customer requirements and needs to offer suitable solutions and generate new business
- Ensuring the timely delivery of services and products to clients
- Resolving issues to maintain and strengthen customer trust
- Reading reports of subordinates and communicating overall quarterly/annual progress to senior management and external stakeholders
What we’re looking for
- Extensive experience in a Senior IT consultative sales role, focused on new business development
- Hunger to drive growth of one of the most exciting areas of IT - Digital Transformation
- Evidence of prior success in exceeding sales targets with deal sizes of $500K to $5M within large corporate and enterprise accounts
- Proven experience building and managing C-level client relationships and providing value added, strategic insight to their business
- Strong understanding of customer dynamics, business requirements and decision-making processes
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders internally and externally and to manage virtual teams
- Impeccable personal brand, integrity and a strong professional network
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Experience writing proposals and tenders
- Knowledge of the full life cycle of sales processes from prospect to close
- Ability to demonstrate ongoing desire to learn and understand new and emerging technologies
