Account Executive Inside

This is your opportunity to launch a sales career and act as the face of Insight as you will likely be the first contact with the client. You don’t need IT experience—if you’re a fit, we’ll teach you what you need to know.  As an Inside Sales Executive at Insight, you’ll be responsible for establishing new relationships with key stakeholders, researching a refined book of accounts, and expanding into accounts by prospecting into new lines of business. Your core metrics will be measured as setting (1) net new meetings and (2) assisting in the acquisition of net new logos.

What you'll do at Insight:

  • Conduct outbound phone calls, consistently send email and LinkedIn outreach with targeted campaigns, and send client’s mailers with Insight and Partner branded materials.
  • Research your book of accounts to stay current with their business needs and create a business plan for the Insight Solutions Client Executive who owns the account.
  • Develop relationships with key Insight partners to drive additional leads and business – examples include Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, and more!
  • Receive and promptly interact with inbound inquiries from the Marketing team.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, focusing on selling IT solutions, and consulting on current IT environments and future needs.

What you'll need to join Insight:


  • 1-2 years of sales experience preferred
  • Prior IT experience is NOT necessary, but you should be hungry to prospect, provide creativity to your work ethic, and engage with a strategic mindset
  • BA in Business, Marketing or any related field is a plus
  • Ability to overcome objections—cold calling experience is a plus
  • Strong negotiation skills/strong listening skills




Day to Day:


  • Support 6 Solutions Client Executive
  • Each SDR/ BDR will work with 18 to 30 Whitespace accounts
  • This will either be industry, geography, or SCE based
  • Within each whitespace account there will at least 20 to 50 key contacts to be called on with a minimum of 2 outreaches per contact per month
  • Time will be spent 60% on outreach, 20% on Account Research/ planning, and 20% on Partner Sessions with Account Mapping
