Marketing Manager – Content Strategy

Insight is seeking a dynamic and high-energy content strategy manager to take on the organization and oversight of Insight-commissioned thought leadership content. The right candidate will be able to step quickly into a fast-paced environment and work with a cross-functional team to drive the completion of the existing legacy publication (Tech Journal) and to play a key role in its evolution as it continues as an Insight-branded partner investment and thought leadership publication vehicle. Further, the content strategy manager will be able to gain an understanding of Insight’s written style standards to ensure they are upheld and will be responsible for the establishment and successful adoption of an outsourcing and quality assurance model for Insight’s content creation needs. The right candidate will also be comfortable facilitating a regular content writer’s roundtable meeting series to collect input from Insight’s content marketing professionals, coordinate training and development opportunities, and carry forward questions and ideas from the group. The perfect candidate will also work cross-functionally with Insight’s social media and PR team to make the most of every opportunity and to optimize social media to further amplify Insight’s brand voice and initiatives aligned to our strategy, including collaboration on video and compelling graphics.

 

What you need to do to be successful:

  • Work collaboratively with Insight’s brand team, PR team and investor relations team to develop strategic thought leadership calendar and execute a comprehensive plan to maximize reach and content atomization across Insight-commissioned and select industry analyst assets.
  • Work with Insight’s extended marketing and product management teams to plan content, coordinate aligned partner investment and drive the quarterly completion of the Tech Journal.
  • Collaborate with our brand, technology and solution area leaders and GTM campaign managers to ensure representation of their solution areas across Insight-commissioned thought leadership.
  • Possess the drive to test and learn in order to determine new methods of digital thought leadership content distribution with a goal of generating demand for and interest in Insight-commissioned and select industry analyst reports; ability to analyze results from these efforts and clearly report ROI to inform future marketing activities and share findings with solution/partner/brand/technology campaign teams.
  • Establish an outsourcing and quality assurance model for Insight’s content creation needs.
  • Facilitate writer’s roundtable meetings, including collecting input from content specialists/strategists, inviting guest speakers and/or sourcing training and development opportunities for writers seeking growth, creating a space for ideas and questions to be asked freely for the benefit of the group, etc.
  • Coordinate internal resources to deliver marketing activities.
  • Participate as an active member of the manager/leadership team for the entire department.

 

 What you bring to Insight:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in content management, digital marketing, strategic marketing campaigns, client experience, or combination of education and experience; B2B experience preferred
  • Experience in managing teams and multiple tasks of varying difficulty and complexity and skill.
  • Should be able to effectively communicate to all constituencies and levels in written and verbal formats.
  • Must enthusiastically embrace Insight’s values of Hunger, Heart and Harmony and regularly demonstrate them in interactions with teammates and leadership.
  • Must be a team player and a servant leader who can roll up their sleeves and do the work.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Strong communication and organizational agility
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, technology industry, customer base and key industry triggers for scale, demand generation and customer engagement
  • Programmatic skills in working in a matrixed environment with PM, partners, marketing stakeholders, global teams and key sales leaders
  • Ability to drive results, know the numbers and programs and report same regularly with confidence
  • Proactive communication and engagement around key programs and deliverables
  • Follow-up and accountability drivers around content engagement and ability to assess ROI and conduct ROI discussions
  • Fierce hunger to ideate, innovate and try new things to ensure a consistent and engaging brand content experience for everything the team puts out
