Program Manager - Supplier Diversity

Insight is looking for an experienced Program Manager to assist in advancing the development, performance and communication of its commercial and public sector Supplier Diversity Programs.  The preferred candidate will aid in the implementation of best practices in program design and execution, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to engage and adopt Supplier Diversity initiatives and further supplier engagement. 

 

STRATEGIC INITIATIVES; PROGRAM DESIGN; SUPPLIER ENGAGEMENT/MANAGEMENT

  • Benchmark industry best practices in Supplier Diversity programs and support implementation for optimal supplier management
  • Assist in driving strategic business goals, plans, programs and projects for supplier diversity initiatives and supplier portfolio
  • Work closely with key business partners to identify opportunities and areas for improvement for diverse supplier specific solutions and supplier management initiatives
  • Identify qualified, prospective diverse suppliers to facilitate introductory discussions with sourcing and business owners
  • Review existing diverse supplier portfolio against existing controls and procurement/program requirements
  • Anticipate internal/external business challenges and drive change through supplier and project management
  • Manage and support supplier outreach events at client, community and sponsorship organizations

PUBLIC SECTOR

  • Develop best practices for Federal/SLED teams to enhance small/diverse supplier utilization
  • Advise on and manage Insight’s small/diverse business subcontracting plan and related reporting

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

  • Analyze and respond to commercial and public sector bid solicitations to meet client diversity requirements
  • Manage Supplier Diversity Program Office alias; Serve as point-of-contact to address internal and external requests and escalations related to supplier diversity operations and supplier management
  • Implement and manage chosen third party data enrichment software application

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or Business Administration
  • Supply Chain Certification (ISM, ASCM, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years’ prior experience working as a Supplier Diversity Program Manager – leading complex SD initiatives with cross-functional team management; supplier/subcontract management; data enrichment efforts in tracking and reporting
  • Proficient knowledge of Federal, State & Local legislation and related SD requirements
  • Prior experience managing individuals (hire, train, develop, evaluate performance)  
  • Prior experience with third party data enrichment software applications (Viva, Supplier IO, CVM Solutions, etc.)
  • Master of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams

  • Business intelligence and data analytics
