JOB SUMMARY:

 

Our Information Sr. Security Engineers help plan and carry out an organization’s information security strategy. They develop a set of security standards and best practices for the organization and recommend security enhancements to management as needed. They develop strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach. Information Security Engineers are also responsible for educating the workforce on information security through training and building awareness.

 

Our Information Sr. Security Engineer conducts periodic scans of networks to find any vulnerability. They also conduct penetration testing, in which they simulate an attack on the system to highlight or find any weaknesses that might be exploited by a malicious party.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • 7 -9  years Information Sr. Security Experience
  • Experience with current DLP technology to help monitor, track and analyze records and incidents to ensure protection from any potential leaks or malicious activity
  • Familiarity or previous experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, firewalls, vulnerability management systems, and endpoint security products
  • Knowledge at the intermediate-expert level of current security risks, threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Experience facilitating SOX, SOC, PCI and ISO27001 audits
  • Monitors, tracks, analyzes and records incidents to ensure protection from any potential leaks of malicious activity.
  • Monitors, configures, and responds to Security alerts.
  • Develops information security standards, policies and processes.
  • Provides input into strategic decisions for the department.
  • Serves as a security resource to assist all departments with the research and/or implementation of security-related technologies and processes; Acts as go-to resource for all departments and assists them with information security and risk management activities.
  •  Prepares recommendations and implements changes to work methods and procedures to make them more effective and/or to strengthen security measures.
  • Provides management with risk assessments and information security training to uphold enterprise security measures.
  • Maintains vulnerability management systems to aid in risk assessments and works with departments to ensure timely remediation of issues and vulnerabilities.
  • Manages Internet and Intranet security-based issues by performing firewall policy audits and reviewing security logs.
  • Identifies control weaknesses, regulatory compliance issues, and potential areas of risk for all segments of the data processing and information technology business and provides management with a remediation plan for such issues.
  • Work with legal staff on reviewing contracts for security requirements.
  • Oversee and monitor routine information security audits and assessments.
  • Manage the creation and update of policies or standards, recommending remediation activities.
  • Institute organization-wide training in security awareness, protocols and procedures.
  • Present relevant information security findings to a variety of audiences
  • Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and works with business units to draft and implement workable procedures.
