Corporate Travel Consultant

The corporate travel consultant will  assist with individual and group travel reservations in a fast paced, full-service onsite agency. This position also performs expense report auditing, internal policy quality control, and dispute/error resolution in addition to creating, running, and analyzing data for Concur and Travel related reporting in support of a high-volume Concur Travel and Expense team.

 

What you’ll do at Insight

 

  • Book travel reservations, issue tickets, invoice car/hotel reservations, process and issue exchange(s), process cancellation(s) for airline, car, hotel, and rail bookings in SABRE GDS.
  • Book domestic and international group reservations advising of required travel documentation for trip.
  • Monitor Sabre GDS queues as assigned.
    Monitor Concur requests and manually process as per company guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance with established internal travel policy by examining expense report submissions via Concur.
  • Responsible for ensuring expense reports are coded accurately and expenses are within policy.
  • Communicates audit progress and findings by preparing reports, providing information in meetings
  • Team with managers to develop meaningful analysis of department efficiency
  • Prepares users by developing and conducting training programs
  • Provide support for SARBANES-OXLEY and internal control requirements
  • Analyze expenses submitted to negate potential fraud or waste and abuse of assets
  • Provides financial control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Resolve errors, as well as the disputes that may result from inaccurate or untimely entries:
  • Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information
  • Maintain a high level of focus on customer service and ensure responsiveness to inquiries
  • Resolves problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solution; escalating unresolved problems
  • Order, track, and maintain Corporate Cards
  • Assist in improving T&E policy compliance through execution of T&E audit plan
  • Communicate with Corporate Card Holders on all issues related to their account including, delinquency fees, unpaid personal balances etc.
  • Complete other analysis in support of primary responsibilities, T&E team, or as otherwise assigned by management. May include:
  • Assist with financial and operational audits
  • Generate ad hoc reports as requested by management
  • Support teammates, mangers, and other executives with process improvements, respond to inquiries, and provide a T&E contact as designated
  • Prepares users by developing and conducting training programs
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Assist in Global implementation of new expense reimbursement application Concur
  • Collaborate with team to continuously assess and improve audit plan to maintain an up-to-date audit strategy
  • Assist in the roll out of Corporate Card programs
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What you’ll need to join Insight

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
  • Fluent in English- requires extensive verbal and written communications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Minimum 2 years’ experience within accounting/finance role.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum 2 years’ SABRE GDS experience, domestic and international
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business reports, technical procedures, and accounting entries.
  • Ability to embrace technology and change.
  • Ability to write reports and/or business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, and Teammates.
  • Capable to function professionally and maturely in a fast paced highly interactive work environment
  • Demonstrated strong communication and written skills
  • Experience in research, quality control, or statistical analysis
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Concur and/or Bank of America Works
  • Demonstrated advanced MS Excel use in a professional role
  • Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements
  • Protects organization’s reputation by keeping information confidential
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
