Client Engagement Specialist

This position provides support to clients, field sales representatives, and guidance for Buy Desk and Support team in regards to client’s technology procurement process.  This position also builds upon the client relationship in order to grow the client footprint and guide the customer to appropriate resources and people at Insight.

Essential Functions of the Job:


  • Manage client ticketing system (average 250 tickets per month)
  • Assist with client post-procurement request (order status, order issues, license tracking)
  • Responsible for client procurement engagement and communication for strategic, complex requests (quotes, orders, renewals, questions, trouble-shooting, training) and liaison between client and Insight teams.
  • Manage client escalations and urgent requests.
  • Provide reporting per client request.
  • Assist Field Sales Team; including but not limited to QBRs, reporting, large opportunity tracking.
  • Engage with publishers to review client EULA requirements (as necessary).
  • Assist with license distribution (as necessary).
  • Maintain e-commerce catalog (part removal/additions; maintain updates on Welcome Page, etc.)
  • Expedite orders with Insight CARE team to ensure timely delivery of product.
  • Manage and maintain client product standards vs DNS, publisher templates, and client specific knowledge base.
  • Maintain publisher websites and dashboards for license management tracking (as necessary)
  • Other duties, as assigned.




Education and/or Experience

Some College education and/or four years customer service experience required. Must be able to clearly articulate Return on Investment (ROI) to clients and prospects to sell value versus price.  Knowledge in quoting and ordering required.  Must have a working knowledge of Insight’s vision and software asset management strategy.



Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, other teammates needed.  Strong communication (verbal and written), organization, and time management skills required.  Solid problem solving and consultative skills a must.  Must be self-driven, motivated and results-oriented.  Able to build relationships and quickly develop trust with clients, as well as internal personnel, needed.  Must be able to solve problems thoroughly and work well under pressure.  Must be able to adhere to tight service level agreements (SLAs) and be able to multi-task effectively.
