IT Help Desk Technician - Level 2

Position Overview

The IT Help Desk Technician is tasked with the troubleshooting, remediation and monitoring of endpoint security risks that are identified through the security vulnerability identification process. The tech will be given vulnerability technical descriptions and solutions and are expected to be able to interpret and execute the instructions as given. To be successful in this role, this person must carefully manage their workload and work productively on their own and as well as with the team.


What You Will Do

  • Manage vulnerability incidents from start to completion
  • Document steps taken towards resolutions in incident tracking system
  • Read and interpret vulnerability technical descriptions
  • Execute patch instructions as described in technical descriptions
  • Determine best solution for vulnerability remediation
  • Learn new remediation solutions as information becomes available


What You Need

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting software issues
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Windows OS, Powershell and Command line.
  • Excellent communication skills
