Where does the role fit in?

All our Program and Project Management teammates sit within The Project Management Office (PMO), which provides specialist program and project management skills and experience to ensure that projects are successfully delivered to our clients for the organization, and identifies and addresses delivery issues, whatever their cause. The Project Manager resides within the Service Design & Delivery area of the EMEA Services function and, specifically, within the Project Management Office. The Project Manager is responsible for successfully delivering small to medium size projects and providing leadership to project teams consisting of internal, subcontracted, and client resources and stakeholders.

 

Where is the role based?

Ideally it would be based in the Netherlands, but other countries could also be an option. The role also allows you to work partially remote.

 

What does the role entail?

The Program Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing external client projects from initiation to completion, providing specialist program and project management skills and expertise, and for ensuring the successful delivery of large scale, high profile, and highly complex programs and projects. You will provide leadership to project teams consisting of internal and or subcontracted resources, client resources, and stakeholders. You are also there to teach, train, coach and mentor other teammates and stakeholders, as a senior member of the team and an example to other teammates.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • End-to-end delivery of large and complex projects and programs including project scoping, scheduling, costing, assessing risk management, assuring quality, and measuring customer satisfaction targets.

  • Responsible for successful delivery of programs and projects through the entire project lifecycle in accordance with Insight’s methodologies, processes, and standards.
  • Measure program and project performance, manage risk, and ensure the maintenance of comprehensive project documentation.
  • Responsible for achieving a high level of client satisfaction through strong delivery management and regular communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Execute program and or project contract change control and work closely with leaders where appropriate.
  • Deliver assigned program and projects to GP targets.
  • Manage assigned internal and external resources in order to achieve program and or project success.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the project team’s members and stakeholders.
  • Provide suggestions for continuous improvement to the PMO’s leadership team and advise of ways to improve team performance and efficiencies.
  • Provide support to account managers around tactical sales opportunities as and when directed to do so.
  • Provide support to presales efforts when assigned in order to help drive sales.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimal a college or university degree or equivalent in knowledge through work experience
  • Sizable scale delivery and management of projects or programs in IT services/related organizations
  • Working knowledge of project and program management practices and methodologies, e.g. Prince 2, PMI
  • Sound understanding of program/project controls, governance, budget management, costs, key metrics and data
  • Effective management of multiple internal/external resources with competing priorities
  • Experience of high value/high complexity projects
  • Near native fluency in Dutch and English
