As a Technical Consultant with Insight you will be managing and supporting the daily operations of systems, networks, backups, and end-user hardware and software. You will be tasked with providing internal user support and training to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of our clients’ IT infrastructure.

Leadership: The services manager for this role is Anson Lau, he is based half of the time in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Anson is managing the team for GCR and leads by supporting the team members to develop their skills and achieve their potential through personalized feedback, encouragement, and by fostering a growth-oriented environment. This approach emphasizes learning and development as a key to long-term success.

 

 

As a Technical Consultant you’ll get to:

 

  • Manage and support the daily operation of System / Network / Backup / End User including Hardware / Software support and training
  • Provide Internal User support and training
  • Provide Azure AD / Hybrid Cloud AD / O365 & AWS support
  • Implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures for Network, System Security and Physical/Remote System access controls
  • Provide Network and Remote Connectivity Hardware / Software support
  • Manage Security Solutions including Firewalls, End Point Solution, Web Application Firewall and Intrusion Prevention Systems
  • Perform schedule and monitor task on Network / Servers, 
  • Analyse and troubleshoot on Network / System / End User. 
  • Assist in coordinating projects including Network related wiring plans, Hardware and Software purchases / installation / backup / maintenance / troubleshoot.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and consulting with vendors and clients for Solution select and support.

We’re looking for a Technical Consultant with:

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT administration and support 
  • Experience with administering and maintaining Windows / Linux server / Router / Switch / Firewall.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of various network elements, servers, and platform operating systems, including Red Hat / CentOS / Uubutu / K8S / Cisco and Dell product / HCI Solution / firewall / VPN / WAF / Load Balancer / IPS / etc.
  • Experience in hardware/software troubleshooting, network and system monitoring tools
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including IP Telephony, BGP, VPN etc.
  • Working knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN / NAS / Openstorage
  • Experience with VMware and Hyper-V and backup software’s like Veeam
  • Holder of MCSE/MCITP, CCNA certification is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
  • Good written, presentation and oral communication skills and ability to explain issues/resolution concepts in technical and non-technical terms to other departments
  • Non-office hour work may be required
  • Willingness to travel for work assignments within HK, on a need-basis
