Our Insight Digital Innovation team is searching for a creative, collaborative, and professional Senior UX Designer, Researcher to join our team.  

 

As a Senior UX Designer, Researcher there are four areas of focus that you will be contributing to – Strategic Delivery, Team Growth, Community Engagement & Hiring.  

 

Strategic Delivery 

  • Working with clients to design and build successful products: 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on projects to define vision and goals 
  • Advocate for user needs and user experience overall 
  • Lead user research activities and document findings to be translated into prototypes 
  • Conceptualize and build design specifications in the form of wireframes, prototypes, and functional design specs 
  • Build functional designs using qualitative and quantitative research data, business goals, and requirements 
  • Works with the development teams to address any technical concerns about a design or UX approach 
  • Design and conduct usability tests and iterate based on findings  
  • Facilitate design thinking/workshops is a plus 
  • Build positive relationships with clients 
  • Build team cohesiveness while meeting individual goals and remaining open minded 
  • Responsible for managing and prioritizing tasks and responsibilities without supervision 
  • Ability to be proactive/take initiative when confronted with a new problem or task 
  • Effective in determining courses of action which result in sound decisions 
  • Demonstrate ability to navigate complex tasks and make recommendations 
  • Responsible for accuracy and quality of deliverables at all stages 
  • Successfully plan tasks and estimate individual workload 

 

Team Growth 

  • Guide and mentor associate designers 
  • Provide knowledge/work sharing with teammates 
  • Build branch culture and encourage diversity & inclusion 

 

Community Engagement 

  • Encourage involvement in the tech/practice community 
  • Support events as needed through attendance 
  • Clearly communicate what Insight, DI and your practice does and the value proposition 

 

Hiring 

  • Participate and interview potential teammates that meet anticipated needs of our clients 

  

What We Look For… 

  • ~ 5 years of experience as an information architect, interaction designer, UI designer, user experience professional (or similar role). Experience working in a consulting firm and/or agency environment is a plus. 
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills internally and at client 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from client and internal leaders 
  • Foundational strategy, research and design capabilities and training 
  • Ability to lead teams to build successful solutions 
  • Expertise/experience with UI Design tools – Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Design Portfolio 
  • Expertise/experience with UX Design tools – Sketch, Invision, Adobe XD, Axure, Figma (required for designers but a plus for researchers) 
  • Expertise/experience with UX Research tools – Optimal Workshop, UserZoomUserTesting.comGoogle Analytics, etc. (required for researchers but a plus for designers) 
  • Experience moderating user testing 
  • Experience leading stakeholder interviews  
  • Experience designing microinteractions and animations for mobile (Lottie) a plus 
  • Strong understanding of iOS and Android guidelines a plus
