OT Lead

Insight Enterprises is seeking an Operations Technology Lead (Architect) to review, analyze, design, remediate our Fortune500 client's environment while helping their vendors leverage a zero-trust environment.


Title: OT Lead

Job Location: Remote.

Pay: $80-$95/hr



The overall objectives of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Architect, design and execute a plan to segregate support vendors through zero-trust access.
  • Review, architect and execute a plant to provide secure access to IoT devices.
  • Ensure that defined solutions align with Operational requirements and support model.



Candidate must have:

  • At least 7 years of Networking experience including Industrial\Manufacturing Operations experience.
  • Strong understanding & experience with IT in an Industrial\Manufacturing environment that includes IoT based devices and equipment. Including a high level understanding of their proprietary\customized OS’s and integration into an Enterprise network.
  • Expert knowledge of networking and datacenter technologies, switching (access & core), routing, wireless and high-availability using Cisco & Meraki components.
  • Experience with Fortigate and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • 5 years of experience with SD-WAN, preferably Versa.
  • 5 years of experience with ZScaler.
  • Good understanding and experience with routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, policy based routing, etc.
  • Knowledge of IPsec, Dynamic and Route Based VPN tunnels
    Remote Access, Authentication (such as Radius/TACACS)
  • Expert level knowledge of networking technologies and WAN communications including TCP/IP (routing and subnetting), QoS, MPLS, IPSec, etc
  • Experience with Cloud networking & cloud network connectivity, preferably Azure.
  • Good understanding of the complexities associated with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Be a strong team player & good leadership skills
  • Show flexibility under changing conditions
  • Good communications skills in English, both written and verbal


Nice to have:

  • Relevant Certifications are a plus. CCNP or higher is preferred.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
  • High level of knowledge in key areas of information security such as Vulnerability Management, Intrusion Prevention and Detection, Access Control and Authorization, Policy Enforcement, Application Security, Protocol Analysis, Firewall Management, Incident Response, Encryption, Two-Factor Authentication, Web filtering, and Advanced Threat Protection
