The Sales Operations team is responsible for managing Insight’s salesforce’s systems and processes in order to maximise the productivity and effectiveness of local sales by working closely with wider sales team and relevant functions. Teammates support with effective sales planning, sales quota setting, client and CRM data management, ERP planning, CRM system set-up, sales process optimisation, and implementing best practice.

The Sales & Marketing Operations Manager works to ensure the effectiveness of Insight’s sales within a certain division by supporting and driving the team to sell more efficiently. The Sales & Marketing Operations Manager supports the Sales Director by creating, evaluating, and optimising data sets.

 

 

 KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Sales Directors to achieve targets by monitoring the pipeline and backlog, and also updating the forecasting pack regularly.

• Analyse performance metrics and provide feedback to Sales Directors so they can optimise sales team resources and increase sales effectiveness, when required.

• Review and interpret regular data sets, and create presentations, QBRs, business reviews and other KPIs for managers and directors.

• Review, analyse, communicate, and manage best practice for renewals, contract renewals, other key trends.

• Provide highlights to sales management in advance of annual operational planning and budgeting cycles.

• Drive the completion of account planning while engaging with sales management, where applicable.

• Set the strategy and future goals for the designated sales team.

• Work closely with Sales Managers to apply targets and verify sales commission calculations when required.

• Ensure consistent management of the sales organisations data in insight’s ERP system to management reporting is accurate.

• Ensure that client data is set-up and maintained accurately.

• Manage projects and create tailored reports using various data for different leadership levels.

• Monitor the ERP system and take responsibility for the successful resolution of sales operations workflow tickets along with any escalations.

 

In addition, the Sales & Marketing Operations Manager may be responsible for managing a team of no more than 5 professionals and will be required to:

• Manage and motivate the team, to promote teammate satisfaction through mentoring, development, and career planning; creating a high performing team with a strong succession benchmark, enabling career progression.

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the sales operations business, manage profitable growth, and ensure a high utilisation of the team.

• Be responsible for articulating and aligning the functional strategy in line with that of the business by providing enough tools and resources to teammates to ensure the optimum delivery of the strategy against Insight’s goals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Proficient in Microsoft office and understanding of sales tools (CRM/ERP)

• High level of written and spoken English and German

• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

• Ability to provide effective leadership, build positive team spirit and inspire, motivate, and support teammates

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with managers and senior members across the organisation, and external stakeholders

• Possesses the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales whilst maintaining good attention to detail and quality

• Demonstrates Project Management and planning abilities
