The ScienceLogic Architect to serve as a senior technical interface and subject matter expert to managed services teams for the Insight ScienceLogic Platform line. The role will facilitate a collaborative environment and work on project initiatives to integrate ScienceLogic into managed services products, drive innovation with the product and ensure full use of ScienceLogic features within managed services Hybrid Cloud monitoring.
As the ScienceLogic matter expert role will be very collaborative with various teams and customers, including IT, Platform Operations, Pre-sales, Delivery, Professional Services and Consulting Services.
Job Description
- This role will be the subject matter expert on specifications, scalability, reliability, features and security for the SL1 product family.
- Use field experience to expand best practices and mature processes regarding deployment planning, execution, and follow-up
- Lead design workshops with internal teams, sales teams and clients
- Designing, building and driving innovation & architectural implementation plans
- Design, document and train internal client delivery teams for use of SL1 features to deliver managed services
- Design tailored solutions for customers
- Custom ML, Anomaly, Dynamic Applications, Run Book Automations, Dashboard observability, Reports, Integrations, recovery scripts
- Innovating with PowerPacks, DCA and other automation’s
- Develop custom widgets, dynamic applications, and Run Books to feed the
- Innovate on collector deployment automation

Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering and/or relevant IT experience
- 5+ years experience supporting & using enterprise class infrastructure monitoring platforms
- 5+ years of deep technical knowledge of ScienceLogic with a focus on scalable deployments, integrating and customizing:

- SL1 Platform (Classic and Extended Architecture) design
- Powerpack development
- SL1 Automation, AIOPS, DCA, etc
- Integrating with PowerFlow
- SL1 Restorepoint design, architecture and best practices
- SL1 Skylar AI design desirable
- Thorough understanding of IT infrastructure, application, and enterprise infrastructure best practices
- 3 years of system administration/support experience in Datacenter and Cloud infrastructures (Network, OS, Storage, IaaS, PaaS,etc)
- 3 years of experience with SNMP, SNMP-trap, Syslog and vendor MIB architecture
- 3 years of experience configuring alerts and dashboards in monitoring tools
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash and/or API development
- Have exceptional troubleshooting and customer-handling skills; flexible and willing to learn new technologies
- Proven experience with implementation of enterprise level network management or application performance products
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
