Location: The role will be an onsite position at our office: 2815 Coliseum Centre Drive Suite 450 Charlotte, NC  28217

Salary: Base range of $80,000 - $95,000 depending on candidate skill set

About the role

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and an understanding of general ledger accounting, coupled with large company business process knowledge. In addition, the Senior Accountant will act as an accounting liaison to Insight's operating departments and collaborate cross-functionally with finance teams including FP&A, Opex, product accounting, billing, AR, AP, and others.

As a Senior Accountant you will:

• Efficiently prepare and document profit & loss and balance sheet journal entries and reconciliations.
• Drive the month-end close and consolidation process through collaboration with functional business department owners and corporate accounting personnel.
• Coordinate and reconcile intercompany activity to ensure proper eliminations at the consolidated level. 
• Research, analyze and document profit & loss and balance sheet fluctuations relating to distinct business functions.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures.
• Perform SOX internal audit controls.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master's degree a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in corporate accounting function.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• Ability to identify balance sheet errors and improper or misclassified profit & loss activity.
• Ability to think critically and understand the underlying purpose of a given journal entry, internal control, or process, including upstream and downstream impacts.  Ability to set expectations and identify anomalies.
• Ability to articulate profit & loss and balance sheet fluctuations through written communication.
• Experience analyzing large volumes of data.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with various organizational levels.
