Senior Service Delivery Manager – Data Center Services

 

Location: Remote 

Travel: Must be able to travel as needed, usually a couple of days a month

Salary: Depending on experience, this position yearly salary is up to 180k a year with a 15% quarterly bonus structure and full benefits

 

Insight is seeking a Senor Service Delivery Manager to lead service delivery, client satisfaction, and operational excellence across our Data Center Services portfolio. This individual will oversee delivery teams, manage client relationships, ensure financial performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while supporting growth across assigned accounts. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience managing distributed teams, and a solid understanding of data center and infrastructure technologies.

Service Delivery & Client Success

  • Serve as the primary delivery leader for assigned client accounts, ensuring successful execution of services and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive service quality, operational excellence, and profitability across engagements.
  • Monitor and improve client satisfaction through CSAT and NPS programs.
  • Lead post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions to improve service delivery.
  • Ensure all client documentation, communications, and operational processes remain current and accurate.

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop distributed technical teams across both onshore and offshore locations.
  • Conduct regular performance discussions, coaching, and career development planning.
  • Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and effective communication across global teams.
  • Drive employee engagement, accountability, and continuous learning initiatives.

 

Operational & Financial Management

  • Manage service delivery performance, forecasting, resource planning, and operational governance.
  • Monitor profitability and maintain strong financial performance across client accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with operational processes, documentation standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain delivery predictability and operational discipline.

 

Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Partner with Product Management and Centers of Excellence to develop and enhance service offerings.
  • Contribute to service standardization and scalability initiatives.
  • Participate in product roadmap discussions and delivery planning activities.

 

Sales & Delivery Partnership

  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure proposed solutions are executable, profitable, and aligned with delivery capabilities.
  • Review Statements of Work (SOWs), validate resource requirements, and support opportunity planning.
  • Act as a trusted advisor during pre-sales discussions and client engagements.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions from sales to delivery teams.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of service delivery management, professional services, managed services, infrastructure services, cloud services, or related experience.
  • Proven experience managing financial performance, P&L, budgeting, and gross margin objectives.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing technical teams.
  • Experience managing distributed teams across multiple locations, geographies, and time zones.
  • Strong understanding of data center technologies, infrastructure services, cloud services, storage, compute, data protection, or IT automation.
  • Experience managing customer satisfaction programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience utilizing business systems, project management tools, forecasting platforms, and CRM solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in IT services, managed services, consulting, or professional services organizations.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms including Azure and AWS.
  • Familiarity with service management and performance management methodologies.
  • Experience driving automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Exposure to sales support, solution reviews, or pre-sales activities.
  • Experience working within global delivery models utilizing offshore and onshore resources.

  • Meet the minimum qualifications and requirements of the position;
  • Have completed minimum service time in current role based on department (ranges from 6 months to 2 years) and have current manager approval.
    • For Account Executives, must be in role for at least 2 years and be a Level 2
    • For Client Fulfillment Center, must be in role for at least 6 months
    • Unless noted above, must be in role for at least 12 months
  • Not be under a disciplinary evaluation or suspension period;
  • Have satisfactory performance in their current position;
  • Have their current manager/supervisor recommendation
