Role Overview


The EMEA Services Delivery function is responsible for delivering professional and managed services to our clients across a full range of technology and software offerings, delivering a scaled, consistent client experience and methodology through four centres of excellence (COE).


The Solution Development Leader resides with the Technology Solutions Group area of the EMEA

Services Delivery function, essentially operating in a hybrid role with a huge focus on Service Architecture as well as technical pre-sales and the various delivery phases of the service lifecycle. It is therefore a key strategic hire for the business and can be based anywhere in the UK on a fully remote basis.


Role Responsibilities


  • Lead a virtual team comprised of Sales, Sales Enablement, Strategic Alliances, and Services COEs teammates, and promote teammate satisfaction through teaching, mentoring and coaching; ensuring high performance and project success.
  • To interpret, translate and bring the practice technology roadmaps to reality utilising Insight’s solution design process.
  • Develop strong relationships with other offering development groups across North America and APAC around the standardisation of offering building blocks to maximise the repeatability and reusability of collateral and delivery skills, and to drive clearer messaging to clients interacting with different areas of Insight.
  • Design and deploy new and innovative services based on market demand with a clear, identifiable market differentiation.
  • Develop and maintain specific offerings in the catalogue, take feedback and manage the evergreening and retiring of offerings as per the practice roadmaps.
  • Consult on RFP bids and sales processes on the limits of flexibility of commercials and the delivery of any given solution or service owned from the catalogue.
  • Act as an ambassador for Insight, its partners, and technology solutions


Candidate Requirements


  • Proven commercial experience working in a Managed Services and/or IT Consulting background, preferably in a role focused around Service Delivery and Service Architecture.
  • Strong communication skills (written & oral) with an ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prior experience of taking new technology solutions to market, and strong knowledge of one or more relevant vendor partners' products and services.
  • Excellent knowledge of business process re-engineering, project, programme and change management methodologies and their application.
  • Highly self-motivated, confident, proactive, innovative, with ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise between conflicting demands to ensure delivery targets are met.
  • Ability to provide effective leadership, build positive team spirit and inspire, motivate, and support teammates.
  • Extensive, demonstrable knowledge of Solution Architecture and Enterprise Architecture, as well as core ITSM processes/standards and best practices.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).


Office Locations


Insight has several key UK-based offices including Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool and Uxbridge.


Client Travel & Remote Working


Insight operate a 'remote-first' consulting model so you won't be required to spend time on-site with customers. In terms of remote working, Insight is currently operating a 'hybrid working' model which ideally requires 1 day in the office per week (see above for office locations). However, we WILL accept applications from candidates wishing to work fully remotely, provided that you are UK-based.
