    Our Insight Cloud+Data Center Transformation team is searching for an experienced, passionate and professional Enterprise Monitoring Developer that specializes in ITOM Event Management suite to join our team.

    Position Overview
    Insight is seeking a talented Monitoring developer focused on Monitoring and experience with ITOM Event management who is looking to work in a collaborative environment. The desired candidate is a creative thinker who enjoys solving all types of business problems; and is someone who has a passion for making their team the best it can be. This individual will be a valued member of a team that delivers ServiceNow solutions that both support Insight’s Service Offerings and makes the Insight teammate experience more enjoyable.
    What You’ll Do at Insight
    A broad knowledge of the ServiceNow platform is required as you will be speaking into discrete design details as the development team works on solution design.
  • 65% - Development, testing and deployment of customizations and applications within Monitoring
  • 15% - Design and documentation of solutions to meet business requirements
  • 10% - Administration and request fulfillment
  • 10% - Research and recommendation of solutions based on business requirements

What You’ll Need to Join Insight

  • 5- years’ experience working with the Enterprise Monitoring Solution (configuration and administration) Sciencelogic or Zenos experience a plus.

  • Must have familiarity and or hands on experience working with ITOM Event Management

  • Working scripting experience with Scripting experience (python, bash, powershell, perl) etc.)

  • Experience Administering and developing Monitoring  Service Portal front-end UI

  • Working knowledge of relational database concepts

  • Familiarity with any of the following in ServiceNow: ITSM (Incident/Problem/Change/Request/Knowledge/Asset/SLA), ITOM (Discovery/CMDB)

  • Direct experience with stakeholder management from requirements gathering to UAT to post-production verification and close-out of projects

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or related field preferred

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Experience with ServiceNow Development APIs

  • Web Service Integration experience

  • LDAP Integration experience

  • Single Sign-on configuration and administration

  • Experience in establishing integrations through JDBC and the MID Server

  • Discovery, Orchestration, Service Mapping, Event Management a Plus

  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely

  • Agile foundation working experience.


What You'll Do:


  • The Performance Engineering and Monitoring team has an established enterprise practice and is looking for an experienced engineer. You will be responsible for enterprise infrastructure and application monitoring, application troubleshooting and performance testing.
  • Working with business stakeholders and our Product owner to understand requirements and required enhancement to monitoring applications based on business demands.
  • Design efficient solutions to complex business problems
  • Propose and deliver initiatives that are impactful to the team, department, and business
  • Provide high-quality reviews, both for code changes and architectural design of moderate complexity
  • Make effective use of monitoring tools to improve root cause analysis effectiveness and correlation of events,
  • Apply agile methodologies to project-based work, and being comfortable delivering in phases, starting with a minimum viable product, and generally breaking projects up into necessary tasks to plan work effectively.
  • Help other engineers outside of the immediate team to understand the platform and build better integrations for it through meetings with other groups, office hours, documentation, and other sharing of best practices
  • Build new functionality and configuration across the entire Monitoring application
  • Promote scripting best practices that ensure overall platform speed and stability
