 Consultant (AWS) –Cloud & Datacentre Transformation

 

We are currently seeking an AWS certified Consultant to join Insight on a remote basis based in the UK.

 

The Senior Consultant – Cloud & Datacenter Transformation resides within the Service Design &   Delivery area of the EMEA Services function and, specifically, within the Consultancy team.  The Senior Consultant – Cloud & Datacenter Transformation is responsible f or providing expert consultancy to clients, owning transformation projects from initial client assessment through to successful completion and partnering with Insight and client teams to carefully scope and propose the most suitable, strategic solution for each client. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support teammates with issues and help them to identify creative solutions to sometimes complex challenges.
  • Manage larger and/ or more complex projects and delivery with a high degree of efficiency, autonomy, and performance.
  • At tend and/ or present at external events and demonstrates expertise through thought leadership pieces, to represent Insight in the marketplace as a solution and services provider of choice.
  • Engage in the pre-sale cycle and provide consultancy, including   audits and assessments to support the sales team in their proposals.
  • Own the delivery of IT related projects to clients, accountable for ensuring defined service revenue and utilization targets are met, and the delivery of anticipated client outcome.
  • Responsible for the customization and configuration of client services offerings.
  • Design, build and configure solutions to address client needs and business drivers, ensuring they meet or exceed expectations.
  • Work closely with the Solution Sales Specialists to present intelligent end-to-end solutions offerings based on the clients’ specified requirements.
  • To participate in   workshops, client   meetings, and calls   to provide technical expertise in relation to Insight’s proposals, demonstrating credibility and inspiring confidence with clients.
  • To design and configure Insight’s solutions according to client requests, mapping requirements and ensuring the most suitable configuration.
  • To create statements of   work in   line   with   configuration/customization needs to be required for each client.
  • To prepare and present client demonstrations and provide training on this matter.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing activities as required, supporting a culture of sharing and learning. 

 

Essential skills:

 

 

  • Must be a great team player
  • Self-Motivated with the ability to identify priorities and plan effectively.
  • Multiple years' experience designing, documenting and running production workloads in AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with core AWS services
  • Experience running Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • Ability to design highly available and performant solutions in the AWS.
  • Working knowledge of database technologies.
  • Some knowledge of scripting within AWS
  • Experience with the AWS Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills directed at both technical and non-technical team members/clients.
  • AWS Professional Level Certification

  • AWS knowledge and certifications: Security, Network 
  • GCP knowledge and certifications: SA Certification
  • VMware Skills
  • VMware Cloud Experience
  • Containers Experience (EKS/ECS/Kubernetes)
  • Skills and Experience in Multiple Databases (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, RDS)
  • Ability to design and build CI/CD pipelines
