Role Overview

 

The EMEA Services Delivery function is responsible for delivering professional and managed services to our clients across a full range of technology and software offerings, delivering a scaled, consistent client experience and methodology through four centres of excellence (COE). The Services Organisation functions via a matrix-based operating model, allowing local intimacy between country teammates and clients, enabling scaled, consistent ways of working at European-level, by separating the people management function from the business management function.

 

As the Practice Manager for Data & AI, you'll be tasked with leading the practice across EMEA as part of our EMEA App & Data Services area. Taking up a key strategic position within Insight and working alongside our EMEA Technology Lead, you'll be ultimately responsible for the development of our expanding Data & AI solution offering, working with both internal and external teams to help our customers modernise the way they use their data.

 

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Work with internal teams, leadership and partners to assist with the development and implementation of the practice plan in order for the business to achieve and exceed services and solutions objectives.
  • Act as a technology SME within Insight (and our customers) for all things related to Data & AI services.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure that the sales and pre-sales teams can credibly articulate Insight offerings in turn securing business and driving growth.
  • Contribute to the execution of the services and solutions business plan including engagement in core meetings and decisions.

 

Candidate Requirements

 

  • Extensive commercial experience working as a Technical Consultant and Solutions Architect, ideally within a Consultancy/MSP environment, with experience dealing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset, with experience designing/developing/delivering complex technology roadmaps with a specific focus on Data/AI/
  • Proven experience working with core Data/AI technologies, specifically focusing on Data Warehousing, Big Data, PowerBI etc.
  • Proven commercial experience working with the Azure Data Platform (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure DataLake Storage, Synapse, Azure SQL DB).
  • Strong technical background, ideally working in the Data Engineering space (SQL/NoSQL) - comfortable having high-level conversations about complex technical subjects.
  • Good leadership skills with proven experience growing/leading technical teams.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Awareness of the latest technology trends related to Data/AI.

 

Office Locations

 

Insight has offices across EMEA and this role will be 100% remote, with occasional (quarterly) travel to our EMEA locations (specifically the UK, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands).

 

Client Travel & Remote Working

 

Insight operate a 'remote-first' consulting model so you won't be required to spend time on-site with customers. This role is 100% remote so applicants can be based anywhere in the EMEA region.
