Location: Hybrid – Sheffield, Manchester or Uxbridge

 

The Solutions Consultant plays a pivotal role in driving profitable solutions revenue and supporting the qualification and delivery of complex client solutions. This opportunity-aligned role works closely with Practice Leads, Sales teams, and internal stakeholders to shape and implement sales strategies, build client relationships, and ensure alignment with Insight’s business objectives.

What you’ll do…

  • Develop sales strategies in collaboration with Practice Leads and local SPOCS to support business growth, maximise profitability, and maintain utilisation rates.
  • Own and manage Practice-specific sales forecasts and pipelines using the Land, Adopt, Expand, and Renew (LAER) model.
  • Support client qualification, including risk assessment of commercial, technical, and client-specific factors.
  • Identify and pursue Practice-specific growth opportunities within assigned accounts and segments.
  • Contribute to proposal development and assist in contract negotiation to drive solution sales.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support sales targets and performance goals.
  • Foster strong, trusted relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate with business leaders to align sales strategies with wider business goals.
  • Support the creation of proposals, pricing models, and contracts in line with company policies.
  • Assist with deal negotiation and closure while ensuring governance compliance.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through consistent service delivery and support during onboarding and implementation.
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to continuously refine sales strategies.

 

Who you are…

  • Experience in pre-sales, solution design, or technical consulting within a technology or solutions-led business
  • Understands the full solution sales lifecycle, from qualification to closure
  • Communicates complex technical concepts in a simple, client-friendly manner
  • Builds strong relationships with clients, partners, and cross-functional teams
  • Works well in a matrixed environment and can lead virtual teams to deliver outcomes
  • Demonstrates commercial awareness and can align technical solutions to business goals
  • Keeps up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics
  • Is highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and target-driven environment
