Technology Lead - Mutli Cloud, Data Centre & Edge

Join our Technology Solutions Group and lead the rapid expansion of our Multi-Cloud & On-Prem Practice, driving innovation with customers, whilst having early vendor access to some of the most innovative solutions on the market. 

 The Multi-Cloud & On-Prem practice resides within the Technology Solutions Group area of the EMEA Services Delivery function which is responsible for delivering Consulting and Managed Services to our clients across a full range of offerings, delivering a best in class, consistent client experience and methodology through four Delivery Centres of Excellence (CoE).  The Services organisation functions via a matrix based operating model which allows local intimacy between country teammates and clients and enables scalable and consistent ways of working at European level. 

The Technology Lead is a strategic role responsible for Insight’s technology offering strategy and delivery practice development.  They take together the client’s business requirements and Insight’s business strategy and work with Insight’s offering development team to bring Offering Solutions to market.  By maintaining their knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies in one or several practice areas they lead and grow one or more of Insight’s consulting practices. The Technology Lead uses a broad range of technology and industry knowledge to advise on technology and Insight’s services in the client base at an executive level, ultimately expanding Insight’s delivery footprint in that client base.  

  • Be a vendor agnostic ‘technology leader’ and ‘go to’ person regarding business focussed technology for the EMEA, and for vendors in your practice area.
  • Define and grow Insight’s Technology Practice strategy and Go to Market (GTM) offerings working with Marketing, Sales, Consulting, Engineering & Development, Customer Operations, L&D & Enablement, Legal, Commercial and Finance teams.
  • You will evangelise, influence, stakeholder manage and lead virtual teams to drive the growth of your Practice Area.
  • Present solutions and strategic concepts internally and externally at customer and partner events representing Insight’s technology services solution offerings is required.
  • Evaluate technology solutions and maintain partner and vendor partnerships in the development of Insight’s EMEA Technology strategy and GTM offerings.
  • Act in a Client CTO capacity with Insight’s strategic Clients to provide strategy, direction and in complex deals and bid/RFP response scenarios.



  • A strong track record of evaluating technology portfolio spanning Multi-Cloud, Data Centre, Edge and setting up strategy with key Partners and Vendors.
  • Track record of key involvement in winning managed service projects gained with a service provider; demonstratable experience of technologies & technical consulting experience across multiple vendor solution suites and proposal writing experience. 
  • Enterprise Architecture background with a good understanding of broad spectrum of cloud and on-prem systems
  • Create and broadcast thought leadership content, actively participate in virtual and physical technology events, and deliver keynote talks at partner and industry events in order to position Insight as the IT solution provider of choice.
  • Develop and foster close partnerships with key vendor stakeholders as Insight’s technology expert in those areas.
  • Develop and evolve the technology roadmaps and strategies in close alignment with Insight’s alliances and partners, EMEA Services, Cloud Acceleration, and the client’s business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team including Solution Sales Specialists in order to ensure they have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of Insight’s service offerings, and actively participate in key client meetings in order to drive deal closure and understand the client’s ultimate needs.
