The Role

As a Software Programme Specialist (SPS) within our EMEA Partnerships team, you'll play a vital role in supporting Insight’s sales teams by providing expert advice and guidance around vendor software programmes and associated solutions. You'll work closely with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders across the EMEA region to deliver specialist programme knowledge underpinned by commercial excellence.

 

This role is key to driving business growth by maximising vendor engagement, identifying software opportunities, and enabling solutions conversations beyond licensing.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on software vendor programmes and commercial models
  • Support clients with programme guidance, qualification, and recommendations, identifying opportunities to broaden Insight’s value
  • Partner with Insight stakeholders to expand discussions from software to full solution offerings
  • Support operational execution, including walkthroughs of Enterprise Agreements, T&Cs, and deal registrations
  • Assist in onboarding clients and sales teams onto vendor portals and tools
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and distributors to gain programme support and deal advantage
  • Achieve assigned financial or KPI targets, maintain accurate pipeline, and report weekly on forecast and activities
  • Share programme updates and developments with the sales community and help pursue new opportunities
  • Continuously develop professional programme knowledge through training, certifications, and network engagement

 

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a software sales or licensing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft programmes and licensing models
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively across teams and geographies
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify client needs, align programme benefits, and deliver outcomes
  • Commercially astute with a solution-oriented approach
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex issues and problem-solve
  • Comfortable presenting internally and externally
  • Self-motivated, growth-oriented, and invested in continuous development
